Jordan's head was all over the place. He was a marked man after all. Marked by greatness and scrutiny, he'd proven himself before and to be honest the thought of having to do it again was simultaneously as daunting as it was insulting. He was a champion; he had a ring that he contributed significantly to getting. He'd acquired the dream many had in his field and still everyone looked at him like he wasn't enough... except his family, his boys, and her. Still, this was his own struggle.
Washington was a new start, a place to go out on his own without the pressure of being on a super team, a team everyone thought would win.
Nonetheless, if he thought about that fact for a prolonged period, the shiny new colors seemed to fade away faster. He'd gone from the top to the bottom and his only solace was the fact that he knew God wouldn't bring him this far to fail. He'd achieved his dream and so long as he believed in himself and had the support of his loved ones, he should be able to get through.
Shaking off his thoughts, he reached for his phone and shot Ivy a text.

"There you are, thought you'd ran back to the Bay." The baller and practical face of the Wizards joked and Jordan rolled his eyes at him.
"Nah, just had to check in with my girl. Make sure she's good."
"Ah, Ivy right? You posted her on your story this summer. Going Instagram official was unexpected given all the heat you're getting but I heard you, it took Nadia a long time to settle in here too. If your girl needs a friend I'm sure Nadia wouldn't mind showing her around. She likes getting to know new people."
