Maybe I need you I breathe you Turning my heart blue Maybe I need you When I leave you ICU
He didn't think it would hurt as much as it did. Being so close yet slightly distanced from her. Ivy had agreed to accompany him, but she seemed adamant on maintaining boundaries. As soon as she'd said bye to Isla, she'd gone into work mode – packing and compartmentalizing things. He'd slowly watched her do the same thing with her feelings. Throughout the travel process she'd been pleasant but not herself. She smiled cautiously, engaged when she was prompted but she'd spent the duration of their fourteen-hour flight to Naples asleep. He'd spent half the time watching her and a random movie.
He'd also managed to review some film. He wasn't completely on vacation. In the excursion he'd planned he'd made sure to scope out courts and gyms in at least three of the five countries he had planned to visit. Maybe that time would give her the distance she needed.
Ivy wanted to see the world and so did he. Perhaps, that was what made her disposition brighten when they landed. After getting their bags they were picked up by a driver and had to endure the two-hour drive to their hotel in Positano, Hotel Marincanto. Upon arriving and entering their Suite Prestige they were surprised to find a bottle of fine wine on ice and two glasses waiting for them.

Ivy took in the beauty of the space with awe before venturing out to the balcony and then into the private garden littered with lemon trees while Jordan looked around. The ocean view was breathtaking. Jordan couldn't believe the opulence before him, everything was perfect. Still, he realized they hadn't been able to come through on his last minute request meaning that they would both have to share a king sized bed.
Venturing out to join her, he cleared his throat.
"Sorry about the sleeping arrangement, the 2 bedroom suite was booked for this week already."
"It's fine." Ivy murmured before she stared at him.
No one else had ever done all this for her. How could she continue to be mad at a man that quite literally would give her the world if he could?
"You sure? I know how you feel about boundaries."
"I'm sure Jordan, what are you going to do, jump me while I'm asleep or something?"
"Nah, you know my policy. I don't touch you unless you ask for it."
The onus was on her then. She didn't know if she could trust herself and that's why she'd been so quiet on the journey. Jordan was intoxicating to her, being this close to him in the aftermath of how chaotic everything had become – it made her realize that not only was she grateful to him for stepping in, but her attraction to him had also grown exponentially. He was peace and safety. Still any growing attraction was insane, considering that she'd already been very attracted to him. So, she preferred to not act on her emotions and the only way to do that was to not engage.
