Part 35 - Mikaelsons realising their mistakes

Elijah says we failed them big time. How did we miss so much?

Gabriel says I didn't know that I was hurting them so much when I was preventing them from practising witchcraft.

Niklaus says we have wronged them but we have to make amends. We have to make them realise that we are willing to change ourselves. We are just asking for a chance from them.

Rebekah says you are right Nik. I have wronged them too. I want to do better but that's only possible if they give us a chance.

Freya says I have hurt them too. I can't believe I couldn't see my little Finn was hurting so much.

Hope says would we be back together as a family?

Niklaus says we would. I promise. Hope there is something we need to talk to you about.

Hope says what dad?

Niklaus says I want to tell you that I and Caroline are together.

Hope says what?

Niklaus says we love each other and are happy with each other. And we want that you should make amends with the Caroline's daughters and Finn's children.

Hope says they don't like me. They accuse me of stealing Dr. Saltzman.

Niklaus says that's another thing I wanted to talk to you about. We don't want you spending time with Alaric.

Hope says but why dad?

Niklaus says because he has been using you all this time for your powers. We didn't send you to the school to put you in danger but so you could learn to be better than us. But you are not learning that. And do not ever mock Lizzie for having mental illness. Your aunt Finn has it and we have seen it in her memories how much trouble it caused her.

Hope says but everyone was saying it and Dr. Saltzman wasn't doing anything. So it thought it wasn't wrong.

Niklaus says He doesn't treat his own daughters well. How can you expect him to treat other's children well. He let's his own daughter crave for his love, attention, affection, time and care. When they voice their feelings he makes them feel bad. What kind of father does that Hope? He is not a good father to his own daughters. He turned his backs on them when they needed him and you helped that man Hope. I know what it feels like when your parents turn their backs on you, where they are ashamed of you. I can see my past happening with Lizzie and Josie where they are me and Alaric is Mikael.

Hope says they used to voice so many times about what they were feeling especially Lizzie. I just thought that they were being jealous and creating drama. I didn't think it from their perspective or I didn't want to think because then I would lose the only person giving me attention.

Niklaus says Hope I know that we were at fault too for not keeping in touch with you but that doesn't mean you jeopardize someone else's family. How would you feel if I was treating someone else's daughter like the way Alaric treats you and I give you zero importance.

Hope says I would feel awful, sad, angry and would most probably hate that girl.

Niklaus says then how is Lizzie and Josie's reaction any different. They felt the same thing and you made them feel those emotions. The triplets feel loyal to the twins because they are each other's family cum friends.

Hope says I get it dad. I would keep my distance from Dr. Saltzman. I would apologize to Lizzie and Josie and the triples too.

Niklaus says good, you better do it.
