Part 38 - Hope distancing herself from Dr. Saltzman

Next day

Hope was reading her book with us and the triplets when bio dad came and asked Hope ignoring the rest of us that where you have been? I have been waiting for you for your training.

Hope says I did training in training class and it was quite productive. I don't need to do training with you.

Bio dad says what? Where is this coming from Hope? You need to do training so that you could be ready for any threat.

Hope says Caroline and my dad has said that's a teacher's job to look after the school. Yes we students would help when the time comes but till then teachers are keeping a watch.

Bio dad says I don't want you anywhere near Klaus Mikaelson. He is not a role model. I wouldn't want you or any of the kids near him. He is an evil person who has killed so many people.

Hope says maybe you should belittle my dad in front of someone I don't know who isn't his daughter. My father is a part of me which you don't want to see. I am his daughter. He didn't live an honourable life but he wishes to change that. He is a good father to me always has been. But you don't see that or acknowledge that. Maybe instead of running after me you should spend some time with Lizzie and Josie, get to know about their lives, get to know how they dominated the training session.

Bio dad says what? Lizzie, Josie you both are not ready for this training. I want you to to opt out of it.

We say mom thinks we need it and we are not backing out. You could train with Hope since she was 7 but we can't. We are 17.

I say You are not our dad. You lost that right when you were busy running after Hope. Besides we have uncle Kai, Kol and Klaus as a father figure in our lives. We don't need you.

Josie says you threw us like we were trash and we weren't going to be fighting for your attention always. Mom gave us one lesson it's okay to fight for the people you love but it's not okay to fight for the people to love you. We stopped fighting for you and we felt like a burden was lifted. We are no longer bound by you. We have our mom, uncle Kai, Kol and Klaus.

Bio dad says you know what Kai did, still you are calling him family.

I say he was wronged too and your Jo regretted that she was an awful sister to him.

Josie says we are giving him a chance and he has been a better uncle to us than you have been a father to us.

I says looks like you have lost your precious Hope. After all she has some loyalty towards her father.

Bio dad says so this Klaus' fault. I should have seen this coming, seeing the way you were acting. He is being a bad influence on you Hope.

Hope says my father made me realise my mistakes and showed me your real face. I can't believe I was too blind to see that.

Bio dad says what are you saying Hope?

Hope says you have been a shit father to Lizzie and Josie. I mean which father runs after another person's child leaving his own daughters craving for his love, care and attention.

Bio dad says I have done no such thing. This is all made up my your father. Now come we have to train.

Hope says I will not train with you because you are using me and refuse to see your own faults. The traits you find admirable about me, I haven't just got those from my mother. I got it from my father too. But you refuse to see that. And you refuse to see that you are alienating your daughters by your behaviour. My father is being a better father to them then you ever were to them.

Bio dad says what you both are in touch with Klaus? He has nothing good to say about me that's why you are being against me.

Josie says we were against you way before Klaus returned and got into a relationship with mom.

I say you were just too blind to see it.

Hope says be careful, your insecurities are showing up. My dad isn't turning them against you or snatching them from you. Your daughters turned against you way before my father returned. They turned against you because of your actions. They lost you but gained so many people as family.

Bio dad says if your father is spending time with my daughters then he won't have time for you. And what about Caroline I don't see you spending time with her. What happened she doesn't have time for you because of my daughters.

Hope says both my father and Caroline give time to each of us. They don't monopolize their time on any one of us unlike you. About Caroline she has always been there for me and never tried to take place of my mother and now that she is gone. She still won't try to do that. And lastly they are not just your daughters but they are Caroline's too. I am being mature and learning from my mistakes unlike you who is still behaving immaturely.

Before bio dad could say anything mom showed up and said you will come with me Ric. You and I have a lot to chat.
