Part 10 - School attacked by humans

After a week

It's been a week that we came to know about the merge. I am still processing it and reading books which I had taken from dad's office. He hasn't bothered us at all because he was with running errands with Hope Mikaelson.

I hate that he gives so much importance to Hope. He doesn't give me and Josie any importance.

It hurts really bad but I need to stop expecting anything from him.

Dad calls me and Josie to his office.

He begins questioning us who took some books from his office. These were on Gemini coven.

I say why is Hope here? She has no business over here.

Dad says Elizabeth I was trying not to accuse you but you leave me no other choice. Hope saw you reading one of those books. She told me as she knew that I was looking for the books.

I say so Hope knew about the merge but Josie and I didn't.

Dad says I

I say of course you would tell her because she is so important to you, more important than your own daughters.

Dad says it's not like that Elizabeth.

I say then why did you discuss our matter with her.

Dad says she know about these things and I thought that she could help.

I say it wasn't your choice. This was our family's business and your precious Hope isn't family. Anyways about those books, I am not returning those. You can give me detention but I am not giving them back. I would find the loophole to the merge.

Dad says Elizabeth we are trying you don't need to get involved.

I say I am already involved as I have kill my twin at the age of 22 in order to survive.

Josie says Lizzie is right dad. We both are already involved.

Hope says don't take your dad wrong. He was just trying to protect you both.

I say Hope don't interfere in our family matter.

Dad says don't talk to Hope that way Elizabeth.

I say you always defend her, take her side but never mine or Josie's. Josie might be fine with that but I am not. And I leave from there with tears in my eyes.

MG says what happened Lizzie?

I say nothing new, dad accusing me and defending Hope.

I leave the school and go to the grill to eat something.

After a few hours

Humans including police officers attack the school. No one's magic is working because of a dark artefact activated under the school grounds.

Students were being held prisoners and were being killed one by one.

I was at the grill eating that suddenly few officers came and arrested me and says you are one of them. I say who? I didn't use my powers as I didn't want to expose myself.

I went with them suddenly I see dad is also arrested. Dad tells me that our school has been exposed to humans and is under attack.

I say how is that possible?

Dad says Matt betrayed us and told everyone about it.

I say how were the humans able to overpower the students. They have their powers.

Matt says I had to do this to protect the humans. You all are a threat to us. We are killing everyone of you. Nobody at school is able to use their powers because your dad kept an artefact at the school grounds which prevent any sort of magic to take place.

I say what? Dad how can you do this dad? The students are defenseless because of you dad.

I say I have some magic left in me and I free myself and knock the officers unconscious, tie their hands, free dad. We took their car with us along with them to the school.

We entered the tunnels and find MG and Hope and dad deactivated the artefact.

I say I can feel the magic again.

We go back to the school and see students fighting for the school. We all fought valiantly and we win the fight.

We put all the humans in cells and I say everyone knows our secret we need to erase everyone's memories through a spell.

Dad says Elizabeth we can't do that.

I say because you trusted Matt a human who ended up betraying us and you had an artefact which when activated could shut down our powers. You didn't tell this to any of us except you confided it to Matt. That's how they first activated the artefact and attacked the school, killed innocent children all because you were protecting humans from us. You didn't build this school for us but for the humans so that they remain safe.

Hope says Lizzie is right Dr. Saltzman. Today what happened cannot happen again. We cannot play that we are humans. We are not.

I say look dad Hope is agreeing with me, now what would you say?

Kaleb says not just Hope but all of us agree with Lizzie Dr. Saltzman. We have to do this to protect us and we are doing this whether you like it or not.

Dad says I would talk to them and make them understand

All the students have gathered and say they tortured us, killed numerous students for being different than humans. We were not threatening them. But they threatened us. Since you are also a human like them you would side with them.

Emma says the students are right Ric. We have to erase their memories and we won't be rivals with mystic Falls high school.

Dad says I will think about it. Our teachers would have a discussion and let you know what we have decided.

I say what about the honour council. Won't they get a say in this?

Dad says this is adult matters, you children need not get involved.

I say we were the ones who suffered because of you dad. You are asking us not to get involved because what we are suggesting is against your beliefs.

Dad says it's nothing like that Elizabeth. Now all of you clean up the school while we teachers have a discussion about it.

Students were not happy with this.
