SLEEPLESS
Struggling to find the right introduction
Like looking for words that'll match your action
Spending the night looking for metaphors
'Coz I can't sleep — what's with this messy force?Telling myself to stop worrying
Is like fooling myself to stop breathing
Talking to the moon again
Letting my tears fall cause I know he'll wipe the painOnly the stars had seen my scars
The night sky that had been witness of all my wars
And everytime I close my eyes
In my head were flashing broken promises and liesAnother sleepless night, innit?
Deteriorating on the bed but with
Nightmares while you're all awake
I'll worry more! For goodness sakeAs long as my eyes are open
My mind won't stop from thinkin'
And even if my body's asleep
In my head, the nerves are yellin', "Wake up! Your traumas are deep"The cold and peaceful night doesn't want me to sleep
It's a perfect time to think so hella deep
Without anyone strangely looking at you questioning,
"What's with her? Is she sick or something?"And when the sun wakes up tomorrow behind a cloud
That's when I'll know I need to face the crowd
But, no they'll never know how bitter is the vile
Tomorrow I'll hide it all with a smile
