Bolt Through The Heart (Quanxi X F.OC)

"I hate how easy I agreed," Sei complained, sprawled out on the big bed.

This house was like a manor, and no one complained when she requested it since she was forced to stay in Japan... Now that she has agreed to help the bureau on a whim...

"You have a nice heart, I don't believe you could have said 'no' no matter what it implies." Quanxi, out of the two, cared less about being stuck here. After all, she is more of a hunter for hire so pay her and she can stay here, she has a grudge against China's bureau still and staying here means she stays with her girls.

She looked over, this place had a weird set up compared to even her old apartment, like why were they six beds in the same bedroom and literally nothing else, not even a wardrobe... And there was still two other rooms that were the same... Who needs this many beds? At least they are comfy, the fiends seemed to like them.

She sighed, right now they were sleeping but after all that happened, some changes were expected.

Cosmo was way more clingy, always hanging off someone and didn't like to be left alone.

Long was a bit more silent, less hyper active, always on guard.

There were more things but those stood out most.

Quanxi of course saw changes in Sei, obviously she is not hacking up her blood all over herself... But she also seemed somewhat unhappy. She could never understand how she was missing the person she almost killed her but she wouldn't push her for answers.

She was not judging her for that... She was only judging her for being splayed out like a starfish, down on her face with only her head under the blanket.

"I know that, I can help people but it is too much work... We almost died, I almost died, because of this place."

Yeah, Quanxi could see the marks. Even if she healed up now, she needed to be sure to not accidentally sneak up on Sei because last time that almost got her head cut off.
Sei also would turn off any bloody movie or old documentary which was things she needed to watch in secret if she wanted to watch them.
One thing didn't change tho, she still wasn't a fan of bleeding people to eat so Quanxi guessed that she would still need to force her to bite her in that case, she is not above manhandling one of the most powerful devils currently known on earth if it comes to it.

"I know, but this is an office job. You are just tying up the loose ends your sister left around and then you can pass them off to someone else."

"I did tell Kishibe it was tempora--JESUS!!" She screamed, the bell to the house so loud it was like a bomb went off. She had jumped up in fear and the fiends had snapped awake,  Quanxi even grabbed her sword.

Sei sighed, getting off the bed.

"I'll check it out." She said, already walking there. "I'll really need to call someone to change the bell out before I have a heart attack." She grumbled.

She skipped down the stairs and hurried to the door.

"What is this Kishibe?" She slowly asked.

If it was just him? Alright... But why is Denji following him with seven different dogs, one cat, a huge backpack and the little gir--.

Sei blinked.

"Eyes." She muttered, the little black haired girl looked at her with a blank face but with yellow eyes with red circles. "That was fast..."

"She is not her anymore, this is the conquest devil." Kishibe reminded her.

"And why are you all here?"

"Something about devils actively hunting me for some reason?" Denji said, sounding confused by his own words.

"And....?" She pointed at the girl.

"Nayuta. I nabbed her from China, they would have just turned her into another Makima, Denji was meant to keep an eye on her but his house went up in flames because of a devil so... You protect both of them." He simply stated.

She blinked once again.

Twice.

Thrice.

And heavily groaned as she knew her life would be hell all over again.

(I am not sure how much longer it would go on with Sei as the MC but I am doing this 'ending' to be sure I can do shit with it lol. We'll see we'll see.)
