Bolt Through The Heart (Quanxi X F.OC)

-Shopping-

It was odd to find a rhythm in a new place she wasn't hurrying to escape and actually working as a devil hunter instead of being the devil that was hunted.... Tho she still expected assassins.

"What about this one?" Long asked, Sei, Cosmo and her having been asked to go shopping.

Sei expected Quanxi to not let her go anywhere without her supervision but only two weeks after meeting her, she was here, in a position where she could escape if she really wanted and cause a lot of damage.

She was also feeling a bit less awkward around them, they are all so nice.... Still tho when the sex noises kept her awake at night she still had a meek voice when she complained about that.

This was the first day she had forgotten too braid her hair and wasn't bothered by it too, the tips barely grazing her shoulders.

"It is a bit costly for what is in it." Sei said, looking the box of cereal over, she was the one that had the money given to her as Quanxi deemed her the most responsible of the bunch, that having caused quite a bit of pouting from the other two until they got to the store and they instantly cheered up looking at all the food.

"But it looks so good!" Long complained, resting her chin on top of her head, being taller then Sei.

"Halloween!" Cosmo agreed, Sei still had problems understanding the meaning of what she was saying but the intonations and facial expressions showed her she was also complaining about Sei not wanting to buy the food.

"It is just plain cornflakes and chocolate pieces, what about buying the 1 kilo bag of cornflakes and a bag of chocolate chips? Much more to eat for longer for a more worthy price?"

"But I want this!" Long complained like a child but Cosmo already had ran off the get the chocolate chips so Sei just put the box back in place and grabbed the big 1 kilo bag.

She walked off, Long on purpose matching her steps and speed to keep leaning on her head, Sei just rolled her eyes with a smile.

"I'll make all of you pancakes for breakfast if you stop pouting." She said after Long's fifth audible sigh as Cosmo put the chocolate chips in the shopping car, stealing it out of Sei's hands and pushing it herself happily like a child would usually do it, pushing it along and hopping on the metal bar, sliding along with the cart until it stopped only to start the cycle again.

"You promise?"

"I do, now free me and walk normally."

"Awesome!" The dragon fiend perked up, excited. "I'll go get the ingredients!" She called out, pressing a kiss on her cheek and running off.

"Hallo- Halloween?" Cosmo asked, watching a frozen in shock Sei.

She lifted her hand to touch her cheek, not having expected this. Her face a bit red as it registered in her mind.

"Halloween~." Sei looked at the Cosmos fiend wiggling her eyebrows, she lightly smacked her forehead with a simple forehead flick with her middle finger. (I usually flick things with the middle finger too and I just realized that while writing this sentence.)

"Behave." She said, the fiend instantly listened making her cringe." Do what you want." She quickly said. "Sorry, any sentence that can sound off as an order and directed specifically at someone with clear will to make them listen it acts as such, an order, because of my devilish ability." She said as the fiend looked confused.

"Halloooooo." She muttered as she nodded, seeming to think of something before declaring. "Halloween!" Proud of herself.

"You are adorable Cosmo but I can't understand you." Sei said with an apologetic smile as the fiend pouted before speeding away with the cart. "Hey! Please come back?!" She asked, if she had purely said 'come back' it would have been an order directed at Cosmo and she didn't want to order them around, running after her.

She followed her to the paper section.

"I guess I'll need to buy that too." She looked at the notebook whose wrapping was torn open by the fiend and she was scribbling in and then showed her the paper.

She blinked, scratching her forehead as she tried reading it, having learnt of the fiends' lacking basic education but this was the first time she was faced with it.

"Halloween!" The fiend pointed at the paper with expectations of Sei understanding her now.

Sei was a bit nervous, reading it in all the ways she could until it clicked in her head that it was phonetic.... Almost, 'you like her'.

"Like her? Long?" She asked, smiling a bit at the fiend happily nodded, scribbling again.

-Jes-

This one was much easier, 'yes'.

"Well you all are nice for letting me stay." She pat the fiend's head. "So yeah, I like you guys."

"Halloween!" She scribbled again, Sei praying her luck in deciphering the half phonetics wouldn't run out because of her luck in being unlucky.

This one too was easier then the first message. 'No, you like her as love.'

"E-eh?" Sei was taken off guard. "No of course not." She said quickly but the fiend didn't seem the believe her and once more writing.

-Quanxi sejz si lic u, vi lic u tu, vy u dont lic us?-

"Of course she can write Quanxi correctly.... This isn't even phonetics anymore." Sei thought. "I told you, I like you all but as friends." She said only understanding the end, hoping she was answering the question.

"Hey I found the stuff!" Long popped up and dropped ingredients for the pancakes into the cart full force, sending the cart rolling a few meters away.

"Right, Cosmo, put that pen and notebook in too, you opened it so we must buy it.... I'll teach you to write better okay? So people understand you easier." The fiend seemed really happy with that.

They finished shopping much faster then she thought after that, heading back home, she walked a bit behind the fiends.

She watched the both of them with a smile before it fell when she knew they wouldn't notice, glancing over her shoulder at the retreating shadow as they neared the building.

"If you want to kill me, try it but do not wrap them up in this." She thought with a glare before smiling at the fiends called out too her to have her catch up. "Because I promise you this, nothing will save you from my wrath if you hurt the first people that have ever showed me more then suffering and pain."
