It was hard to find a place to fit in when you needed to lay low and no place can accommodate you.

Sei, even now, couldn't find it in her heart to blame Makima.

If she had been the one that had kept the original heart of the conquest devil, she knows she would have turned out the same way, tho it still hurt her how she was wanted dead even after so much time passed since they were split apart.... At least their minds are separate, she remembers when they were one and wouldn't have been able to deal with the hate if they would still have a shared consciousness now.

Makima and her contract with the Japanese government would save her, she thought, but Sei suspected that it might not be the truth or that day she would have not let her run that easily, Makima still had doubts too but that didn't stop the attempts after that day.

Makima didn't know what doubt meant at the end of the day.

It didn't stop the others either, one of the main enemies she knew of, the president of the USA himself, wanted to kill Makima so she was a straight up enemy no matter what she said, everyone always believing she was her other half, twin as humans would refer to them.

It helped with the fact that despite working for the bureau Sei would hide her face most of the time to make it easier, little to no one really know that Makima and Sei were not actually the same person.

"Sorry." She said, knocking someone over, surprised it was a fiend in disguise, hiding whatever made them that under a cap so she couldn't exactly tell what devil she was looking at, her nose was not as good as Makima's, slightly lesser, the rain was muddling her senses too. "Here, let me help you up." She pulled the silent girl up.

"Thanks." She muttered.

"Of course." Sei offered her a soft smile, like Makima's but hers were truthful, waving a polite goodbye as she walked on ahead, lost in her thoughts again.

Sei know that that was not the only reason she was wanted dead, not simply because Makima couldn't control her but also because she believed if one consumed the other, they'd be a whole devil again and Makima wanted to be that devil.... And there was something that scared her, despite not knowing what that feeling was her 'sister', Sei, knew...

Control and Domination are the same and yet different, Makima needed to believe truly she was superior to people while all could be dominated, even those thought of as superior, as long as they are made to bend the knee, so Sei was an obstacle in her plans.

Sei sighed, pulling the hood of her dark green hoodie over her head more and speed walking through the busy streets of China as another familiar rain storm brewed overhead, rain falling and stopping for a while now but it wouldn't be long before the main dish, the downpour.

She had long discarded her old clothes, cutting her hair a bit shorter but long enough to braid it a bit, only a hand's length.

She pushed out of the crowd and into a narrow ally, walking until she was far from the main town and in much less fortunate neighborhoods, making her way to a fire escape and climbing up the stairs of it two by two.

Arriving on the roof she sighed again as the rain started to fall moments after a lightning strike, seeming like it was something she did every minutes by now, straightening up.

This house block was basically abandoned with the front entrance barricaded so she needed to climb up to roof to get through that door, using it as a temporary home where she wouldn't be bothered.

She reached for the handle but jumped back as a platinum flash was spotted from the corner of her eyes, landing several feet back in balance on the railing of the roof, crouching down to grab it with one hand.
