-Worries-

Quanxi had a feeling something was up.

She thought it was the apparition of the odd looking rat devil, it looked like a normal rat just super-sized proportions, nothing really devilish to it until it opened its mouth and the concentric rows of teeth were put on display with a chameleon type of tongue.

She easily dispatched it, sending a short message with the placement of the devil's corpse soon after she found it for the cleanup crew to get here by the time she killed it.... After Long got a bite out of it of course, she handed her phone to Cosmo who was doing the puppy eyes, always loving the stupid little snake game that was on it, having an unimaginable high score on it.

"Clean yourself up when we get home Long." She instructed the fiend, Cosmo handing the other one a piece of cloth she pulled out of nowhere so she could wipe her face.

And yet the feeling off oddness remained the same, so it was not this devil's presence, it was something else.

Quanxi rarely felt like this and when she did it was because something was really off, some devilish sixth sense the hybrid seemingly had, a more precise gut feeling she called it.

"It was nice but not as nice as those pancakes." Long said, wiping the blood off her face. "If not for anything else, we should really keep her around to cook." Quanxi offered a small smile, shaking her head as Long chuckled at what she said too the hunter, both knowing that was not serious.

"If you ask her, I am more then sure she'll help you learn the recipe." Quanxi said, until now, despite not particularly liking it, she was the one to know how to cook, Sei seemed to actually like cooking plus Quanxi only did simple things like fries or eggs, even she herself wouldn't know the recipe of a pancake by heart.

"Ah yiss." Long punched the air in victory.

"Halloween." Cosmo said, waving the phone around and handing it back to Quanxi, for Cosmo to hand it back when she was playing it needed to be a message marked with a star, meaning favorite and it would be a message from the home phone.

She opened the message as Long was picking up the remaining pieces of her blades, she always broke them, no one could make them strong enough for her but since the government supplied her with these each time she broke one so she didn't really care, only reason Long collected the pieces was because they'd actually be payed to clean them up.

-Something's up.-

Simple and short but enough to make Quanxi fur her brows in wonder.

"Girls, we are going home, something happened to the others." She said, pocketing the phone.

"Halloween?" Which translated too 'What happened?'.

"I don't know, that's why we are going home." If it was not important more words would have been used, this meant there was little time to text.

"Lets hope it is not too bad." She didn't comment on Long's words but she thought them too, not liking her girls hurt in any way and now there was another one to worry about too.

-----------------------------------------------------

When they got home the window replacement crew was done already, having long vacated the premises of their presence but the smell lingered, Quanxi wondered for a moment if she should called the company to tell them they had drank alcohol on the job but ignorance is bliss, the job was done and nothing was stolen so she'll ignore it.

"Quanxi." She looked at Pingtsi who was sitting on the bed looking distraught.

"What's wrong?" She asked, untying and letting the belt with the sword sheaths fall on the ground with a crash, walking over and sitting next to the fiend who hugged her for a moment before pulling away.

"I.... I can't tell." Quanxi lifted a brow.

"But something is up?"

"Yeah I just.... Can't tell."

"Sei." Quanxi deducted it was the devil that would be behind Pingtsi feeling unable to explain too her tho they had never outright discussed what devil the woman actually was, Quanxi had her idea and theory tho. "She told you to not tell."

"Yeah."

She looked too the side when hearing a door open, standing and walking to the hall to see in it and it was Tsugihagi leaving the guest room, Quanxi looked at the rag in her hands tho, the white cloth stained with red.

"Tsugihagi?" Quanxi asked. "What's going on?" The fiend just nodded towards the room.

The platinum blond woman walked closer to her, leaning down a bit as she was a slight bit taller.

"Blood vomit." The stitched up fiend whispered really quietly in her ear, the order was directed at Pingtsi so she was not affected, Sei having overlooked that she could still speak and it was more selective mutism and not really being mute.

Quanxi looked up at the door before rounding the fiend girl with a pat on her shoulder and pushing it open.

The blinds we pulled closed tho some light still filtered in as it was midday, blinds could only do so much despite the clouds, there was indeed a smell of copper floating through the air.

She closed the door behind her, rounding the bed.

Even in this dimmed light it was clear to see that the devil didn't look the best, she didn't look that well even in the morning and currently she was out cold, sleeping.

She leaned against the bedside table, half sitting on it, grabbing one of Sei's hands and lifting it, a big wad of bandage around each, crudely done.

She careful unwrapped it, looking at the damage done, for a moment Quanxi doubted there was even blood flow to the hand it was just so pale but she felt a pulse, the hole in there already healing tho slowly, she'll need to ask how that happened.

She fixed the padding of cotton and wrapped the hand correctly, fixing the other hand too, resting them by Sei's head on the pillow where they previously were.

She brushed a strand of hair away from Sei's face, brushing against her skin and it was so cold despite being covered in a blanket.

That one drop of blood she spotted in the bathroom back then came back in her mind, that morning Sei hadn't eaten either, was that and this connected? If yes, this time she did but it was Quanxi's own fault.

Sei looked ready to refuse taking the plate but she still did take it in the end and eat it slowly, she'll need to ask her it seems.

"Just what's going on with you?" Quanxi asked in a whisper, not trying to wake her, brushing her hand through the devils silky smooth hair as she sat on the edge of the bed, keeping her eye trained on her tired face.

Wishing she'd awaken soon because not only were the fiends worried for her but she herself was.
