"Papa?" Yelena had made her way out to the abandoned barn on his and Melina's property. It took them a while to get everything up to Yelena's standards of what Kate deserved on her wedding day but she was ready to show her their hard work. "Is everything all set in here?" She pushed the doors open and saw that Melina and Sonya were putting the finishing touches on the pews that she and Alexei crafted. It looked magical with the fairy lights and all the flowers. "Where is Alexei, he said he was going to finish up some last minute touch ups on the paint."

"The Barton kids came for him. They wanted to see the animals. You know your father could not say no to the kids but he said he was finished early this morning. Look, it all looks perfect."

"Mmhmm," was Yelena's only response to her mother.

"It is fine. Everything is ready except for a few decorations on the pews and we are finishing up with the floral arrangements. It was smart thinking using our gym as the reception hall. Saved some money."

"Who wants to sit outside in the cold? All of the guests aren't Russian," Yelena noticed the lack of one person from the set up. "Where Natasha?"

"Oh she flagged Laura down as soon as they got in to help her fix her pants for tomorrow. She needed to take in the jacket too," Sonya looked up from her work. "I know the woman who measured both of us did it right because it took forever. Did Natasha get sick or something after we came back?"

"I do not think so," Yelena looked around and smiled at the work her and her family accomplished in the barn. "Way better than those stupid tents."

"I sure hope Ekaterina appreciates this and doesn't end up killing you for not ordering those tents."

"Oh stop," Melina threw a crumbled up ball of tulle at the widow. "This is perfect. Way more meaningful than some stupid tent. You and your father did a wonderful job converting this old barn. Kate Bishop will love it."

Sonya shrugged while fastening a bow to one of the pews, "I suppose so. How has she not noticed that the tents haven't arrived yet?"

Yelena went over to the table where all the flower arrangements were set, "you know Kate. She has her head in a million places at one time and does not pay attention to detail. Plus," a loud scream could be heard from over a mile away, "those stupid space goats have really been occupying her time."

"Yeah about that," Sonya sat down in the pew, "I did not sign up for this when we agreed that I would watch the pets while you are away. I signed up for pets not livestock."

"Those goats are truly fascinating," Melina had spent quite a bit of time over the past two days examining the goats. "They are just like regular live stock except they can apparently travel through dimensions and they scream."

"The time and space travel is fine but the screaming needs to stop," Yelena had woken up last night and found that Kate was no longer in their bed. "She slept with the goats last night. I swear, if they mess up this wedding, forget the honeymoon, we are going to New Asgard to kill the idiot space god."

"That's a honeymoon for you," Sonya laughed, "no sex but plenty of murder."

"You know," Yelena looked at her friend, "I never did get you a thank you gift for being my maid of honor."

"Oh no you don't."

"I hear livestock makes a great gift."

Melina shook her head, "absolutely not. You know she lives with us right?"

"I thought you were moving in with Natasha and Peter? What happened to that?"

Sonya just shrugged, "I do not really know. I was thinking of maybe moving back to New York after all of this was over. Be closer to the city in case they need me at the compound. Plus, we've freed almost all of the widows. There won't be anything for me to do here. Might be time to find my own thing for a while."
