Chapter 10: The Truth

3rd POV

Mike had gotten sick throughout the movie and ran to go puke. Bella, playing the "worried friend" suggested that they all, Jake, Alec, and herself, go to check up on him, not aware of the stunning events to follow after.

Jake's POV

We walk out of the theater and head towards the foyer area. I walk hand in hand with Alec, him having a tight grip on me. Bella walks on the otherside of me.

She attempts to grab my hand, but I move before she could. Bella lets out an awkward like chuckle. "What, I can't hold your hand now?" She asks almost humorously.

I shake my head, not finding anything hilarious about the situation. "We've never done that so why would we start now?" I ask her rhetorically.

She looks at me up and down with a confused expression. "Well why can't it be apart of our new year's resolutions, becoming closer," she says, almost seductively.

I grow angry at her attempts to continue on touching and getting closer to me. I feel a pull on my clothes and turn to see Alec looking at Bella with an angered expression. "Touch him the fuck again, and I'll fucking kill you," he snaps.

Just then, Mike walks out the restroom. "Well," he sniffles and sighs,"I need to go home. I was feeling sick before the movie. Okay?"

I let out a scoff ,still pissed off from the interaction just now and when we were standing outside. He is so full of shit.

"What is your problem?" Mike asks me, completely confused on my attitude towards him.

I move closer to stand in front of him. "Right now? You're my problem. Feeling sick? Maybe you need to go to the hospital. Want me to put you in the hospital?" I question him angrily and rush forward towards him.

Of course, Bella decides to be the first to intervene. "Jake! Jake. Jake, the movie's over. What are you doing?" She butts in, practically throwing herself all over me.

Alec then grabs her hand harshly and throw her towards the steps that were near. "Stay the fuck away from him!" He exclaims, pulling me in close.

Bella keeps her distance, but she announces, "You're really hot." Mike looks around in disbelief at her words, but she continues to talk about me. "Like, you feel like you have a fever. Are you okay?"

I begin to panick a bit as my body aches, and I feel hotter. I turn towards Alec and see him giving me a look as if he knows something I don't. "We gotta go," he ushers out before grabbing my hand and dragging me to the car.

My body begins to hurt even more that I can't even comprehend my surroundings. Alec then picks me up and sits me down in the passenger seat, closing the door. He runs around front and get into the driver's seat, immediately taking off towards the Rez.
