Chapter 4: Raising The Dead

3rd POV
Setting: A clearing

Lilith appears in the clearing after passing through the many evergreens. She walks to the center and in her hand, a bag of black sand. Undoing the binding of the bag, Lilith creates a circle with a large star in the middle. Once the pentacle is perfectly created, the middle Swan conjures up five candles and place each at the point of the pentagram.

It took Lilith twenty minutes to set up for the spell. Just as the finishes, Emmett and Elijah appear with Alec in his preservatory case. The female Swan turns to look at them. "Finally, you have arrived. I just finished up, all I need is Alec," she says cheerfully, walking up towards them.

She's finally getting her brother after so long. Everything is going amazingly fine so far. The Cullen brothers both look at her sweetly. Lilith's been through a lot recently, and they only wish to help her. "Do you want us to lay him in the middle or yourself?" Emmett inquires.

The Swan woman appears hesitant for a moment, pondering what to do. "I'll use my magic as to not ruin the pentacle," she concludes walking closer to Alec's case. His body lays as if he's in a deep sleep. Lilith's hands travel down onto the case. With barely any movement, the glass top of the case disappears. Emmett's eyebrows raise up in surprise, and he looks over at his brother. Elijah only shrugs and looks back at Lilith. Red mist appears out of the Swan girl's hands and engulfes Alec's body. Slowly, Lilith's hands guides the mist that engulfes Alec's body to hover over the pentacle. She carefully lays him into the middle of the pentacle and her red mist fades away.

"What about the sacrifice?" Elijah inquires, stumped on how they will bring Alec back with no sacrifice there.

"Yeah, if Bella was here we could have used her but she's dead, so," Emmett adds on, equally as confused.

Despite the questions, Lilith remains collected. "We shall have a sacrifice when the Necromancer appears and takes his pick," she retorts coolly. Suddenly, the sky turns darker than it usually is in Forks. A large flash of lightning appears followed by a large boom of thunder. For those that are unaware of the events occurring, it was just another storm rolling into the pitiful town, but everyone that knows carefully awaits for the next move.

The Cullens stare out into the forest from their home. Jasper and Alice wraps closely together as if protecting each other. Carlisle and Esme do the same, the look of parental concern on their  faces. Edward holds Syna from behind, but Syna remains spaced out as she thinks back to how she ultimately backstabbed the only people that cared for her and helped her. Just the feeling of Edward's embrace didn't feel right after what she has done. She slowly removes herself from Edward and continues looking into the forest without a glimpse at him. Edward's face morphs into one full of pain as he knows her internal battles and wants to respect her space. Rosalie sits alone filled with restlessness as her mate is not beside her to keep her at ease.
