Chapter 5: Protection?

3rd POV

Ever since the meeting, the Cullens have been avoiding Bella like the plague. Edward's been trying his best to get closer with Syna. Syna constantly makes it harder for him as she believes he deserves to feel what she's been feeling. As easy as it would be to reject him as her mate, Syna actually wants to give him the benefit of the doubt. She knows behind his demeanor of being a bitch that follows around Bella is actually an actual person who isn't stuck up.

Moving towards the wolves, they are constantly on edge. With Victoria coming onto their land and the discovery of new enemies, they have no time to rest. They hold anger towards Bella and the Cullens, aside from Elijah, of course. Although Bella was the main cause, they felt as the Cullens played a part due to them not trying hard enough to prevent their "son" and "brother" from making the stupid mistake of interacting with a human, a human who caused a whole lot of bullshit.

Now, Alec and Jake, they just be fucking. That's all they do. Alec never lets the poor boy have a break. When they do have breaks, they continue to cling to each other's side. If they aren't clingy, it always leads to a problem. For example, Alec wasn't giving Jake enough attention due to him being on the phone with Klaus to discuss something important, so Jake broke a window, the TV, and kept yelling about how Alec doesn't love him. Very dramatic.

Alec, of course, comforted him and then they fucked right after. He's such a good boyfriend. Another example is when Jake has patrol with Paul. Paul and Jake got closer, and they had a very flirty friendship. Whenever they flirt in front of Alec, he gets pissed and kills. Thus leading the two to have to stop their antics towards him.

Lastly, Elijah and Lilith just stay in the comfort of their home. Lilith doesn't like going out unless she needs to feed, along with Elijah. They've been researching how to get rid of AZ. Lilith knows the woman is going for Alec because of their history. Working hard is what she can do to be better.

Finally caught up, but what are they doing now.

Syna's POV

I roll my eyes as Edward follows behind me, whining. "Can you just listen to me. I've been trying to talk to you this entire time. I'm over Bella!" He exclaims in an exasperated tone.

I turn to look up at him with a raised eyebrow. "Sure you are. If you were, you wouldn't have her in your phone or constantly checking up on her when the family finalized she would be on her own," I recount with a fake smile on my face.

He takes out his phone and displays himself deleting Bella's contact out of his phone. He then holds the phone up higher. "See, no contact at all," he declares, pocketing his phone away.

I cross my arms and look at him. "Still not enough," I insist before continuing to walk towards the kitchen for a snack. Lilith had made homemade snacks that's infused with blood, so we could eat.

"How about we go on a date. Doesn't matter the price, where you wanna go, just let me show how I'm actually dedicated to us," he suggests, grabbing my forearm gently and facing me towards, both of us stopping.

I contemplate for a moment. I want us to work, but what if it's all for nothing? What if he runs back to Bella, once again, breaking my heart. Is it all worth it? I let out a long sigh and look up at him. "Fine, we can go on a date," I clarify, rolling my eyes in an attempt to stop myself from smiling.

His usual painful, depressing facial expression turns bright as he smiles in happiness. He goes to pull me into a hug, but I back away. He nods his head as if stating he understood our boundaries. "Thank you," he beams, his smile still on his face.

On the other side of Forks.....

Lilith's POV

I sit in Elijah's and I's living room looking into historical grimoires from different realms, hoping to find a solution about AZ. Each one stating death of the other party due to AZ training and abilities. I let out a sigh just as Alec rushes into the house.

I quickly turn towards him, my powers rush throughout my body, ready to be expelled. "What's wrong?" I ask, seeing worry etched onto my brother's face.

"Victoria scent has been lingering around Dad's. She's getting closer to our father. AZ's scent is also there, but she's actually been inside the house again," he explains in one breath.

I rub at my temples, feeling a migraine coming on. How could I have let this happen. I stand up and walk closer to Alec. "Have Father moved here. He can stay down in the bunker," I advise him, trying to come up with a fast solution now. This is so tiring. AZ, Victoria, Riley, the newborn army. Do these bitches not have lives.

My thoughts are cut off by Alec. "We can try, but he would want Bella to come with. Also, it's not even a bunker, it's like a goddamn mansion underneath your house," he theorizes, with a smart ass comment as usual.

I run my fingers through my hair. "You're right, then she'll believe that we're back protecting. But we really don't have any choice. If she's to come, have her knocked out , so she won't know how to get back here after this is over," I declare.

Alec gives me a perplexing. "So, protection?"

"Not for Bella, only Dad really," I reassure, going back towards the open grimoires on my coffee table.

Alec lets out a long sigh. "What if I was talking about me using protection with Jacob. You never know," he quizzes, annoying me.

I pick up the pillow closet to me and throw it at him. He dodges it and leaves. "Alec! Let the poor boy walk and be a teen. You know you can get him pregnant, at least wait until he's out of high school," I proclaim, looking through pages.

He hums and slowly heads to leave. He opens the door, turn towards me, and says, "Sure, I will." Before I can say anything back, he leaves, closing the door. I let out a groan in frustration. Bless that poor young boy from Diablo.

(A/N)- Hello, sorry for not updating. I'd like to say happy late birthday to Han Jisung, Kim Seungmin, Bang Chan, and Lee Minho. I'd also like to say how pissed off about the stuff going on surrounding Yoongi and Seunghan. Anybody disrespecting them will be having karma.
