3rd Omniscient POV
Setting: Elijah and Lilith's Place

Lilith and Jacob, drinking hot chocolate, sit in front of the fireplace. The bruises and scars from Jake's fight slowly begin to heal. The shapeshifter is in his head at the moment. He now knows what Alec had known for the longest. He finally knows the truth, even though it came about in an ugly manner.

The wolf can only think of Alec despite the newfound information. Memories of him and his lover take up his mind. It is how the shapeshifter's mind has been since he lost the other half. Even though he knows Lilith is promising to bring him back, Jake can only mourn as he waits.

Lilith herself is stuck in her head. Never has she thought that Alec being away would lead to such tensions. She thought that by being there for Jake that she could prevent the worse, but it did not work. She knows Alec is Jake's balance, and the shapeshifter needs his balance.

After sitting in silence for a troubling long time, Lilith breaks it.

Lilith's POV

"I know how hard it has been for, but I want you to know that I'm here for you," I assure Jacob, looking over at him.

His attention remains on the dancing flames, as if he's in some kind of trance. With a sigh, he notes, "I know. Doesn't mean it's going to hurt any less."

I reach out and grab his hand. I feel Jake tense up even more than he was before. Giving him a weak smile, I empathize,"You are soul mates. It's going to hurt. Not only do you have a strong bond, but you guys love each other."

Look down at his hands, Jake lets out a sniffle. "Why does love hurt so much when you're only separate for a bit? Why does love cause people to do reckless things?"

"Love isn't easy it's hard. We do reckless things to protect each other. Separation may hurt, but it presents just how much one cares," I console. I take my hand from Jake's and rub his back comfortingly.

Jake looks up at me with a tear streaked face. He must have been silently crying as he was looking down. "It should have been me. I should be the one gone, not him," he croaks out, his voice hoarse.

I shake my head, denying his words. "No, the outcome of the situation was already set in stone before it had happened. Alec knew that, and deep down, even if I didn't want to admit it, I knew that as well," I enlighten.

Jake looks at me for a moment, reading me, before he lays his head on my shoulder. I caress his hair, hoping to soothe a bit of his pain. I can only imagine the pain he's going through. Alec may be my brother, but he is Jake's mate, other half, soul mate. I know I need to speed up the process of bringing Alec back soon.

After a few moments, I hear soft snores coming from Jacob. Slowly and carefully, I detach myself from him, lay him comfortably down on the couch, and cover him with a blanket.

Poor boy. We shall bring our brothers back for his sake as well. -Enchantress

I silently look over Jake one last time before going into Elijah and I's room. Elijah sits up right on the bed watching Scary Movie. As much as I love the parody-like movie, it's not my main focus as of right now. I stare directly into Elijah's eyes. "We need to hold a meeting now," I declare.

Elijah pauses the movie, stands up, and walks towards me. "What should I inform them of as for context?" He inquires.

I shrug my shoulders. "Nothing. When have they ever directly given context on what we hold meetings for regarding Edward," I voice.

He nods his understanding, and we head downstairs. Quietly, we gather everything we need, put on shoes, and leave to the Cullen house.

3rd Omniscient POV
Setting: Cullen's House

Elijah and Lilith arrive at the house, which is illuminating a bit of light. The light in the living room brightly shines. The couple quickly make their way into the house.

Inside the house, the Cullens and Syna gather with confusion. They had been messaged to gather for a meeting, but no one knows what for. Edward, as usual, is only imagining the worst. He feels aa if the news is going to be somewhat troubling for the clan.

The rest of the Cullen clan can only imagine that the meeting is an update on the situation regarding Alec. Jasper can feel that the situation deals with the finality of an occurrence that they're dealing with. He doesn't need to feel one's emotions to understand what is going on and the atmosphere.

Elijah and Lilith walk into the living room of the house and come face-to-face with the rest of the Cullen coven. Lilith wastes no time in speaking. "I'm bringing Alec back tomorrow," she announces.

Her posture and confidence never faltering for a bit. The coven appears taken back by her declaration. Clearing his throat as he looks around, Carlisle verbalizes,"That seems like a massive decision to make in such a short period of time. We don't know the consequences of bringing him back."

He tries to be rational, but Lilith takes no mind to his words. Her heart and mind have agreed and come to a decision. "Her mind has been made up. She wants to bring back Alec. Jacob has been through enough as it is," Elijah expresses.

Edward rolls his eyes. "Of course, it's about the wolf," he mutters. Shadows form on the wall behind him. The shadow reaches out and captures him, allowing him to feel the pain of those he killed. Edward's eyes widen as he gasps in pain while slightly suspended into the air.

Syna lets out a gasp as she looks at her mate in pain. She looks at Lilith with pleading eyes. Lilith only scoffs at her. In the moment, she only sees the girl as nothing to her. "Don't think I haven't learned of your defensive nature towards Edward regarding my brother's temporary departure. You were nothing to him until I pushed for y'all. My respect will not be disregarded as nothing. Choose carefully on who you stand with," she instructs.

With one look from Lilith, Elijah retracts his shadows from Edward. The brooding vampire falls with a thud on the ground. The squeaking sound of his skin being ripped is heard. Syna immediately drops to his side to aid him.

There's a beat of silence before Emmett breaks it. "Y'all couldn't have texted that?" He questions, scratching the back of his head.

Elijah and Lilith both crack a smile. Rosalie nudges his side, and he looks at her offended. "Never change, brother," Elijah marvels. With that, Elijah and Lilith depart from the house.
