As I stood in the doorway still confused at what was going on. The smell of Levi's black tea filled the air as the sound of the trees echoed peacefully outside. This area is deceptively peaceful sounding. I looked down at my clean nightgown I found on my bed, its fabric is heavy and warm, a light brown color. I smiled at the luxury.
The door to the pantry opened suddenly as it snapped my attention back to reality. Levi was standing there with a cup of clear water in his hand and that stoic expression.
"Why are you standing? Do you seriously need me to tell you to sit down?" He stated. I held my tongue at the frustration of him. I can't do what feels okay without it being wrong and I can't wait for orders without it being wrong. I angrily sat down as he came closer to me and sat across from me, still holding the water. I reached out my hand for the cup.
"You really think I will let you waste this precious water you so desperately wanted you came down in the dead of night, thinking I wouldn't notice?" He said as he leaned in. "Not a chance in hell," He stated coldly at me as he brought the cup to my face.
I looked back at him in confusion. I really can't get a grip on this guy, this is the legend everyone was talking about? The one who never needed any help or never spent much time with people either. He was telling me he was going to make me drink from his hand?
"Captain, I can drink from a cup myself," I said assertively, frowning my eyebrows at him.
"And I don't think you can. Drink," He stated again, obviously annoyed I was wasting his time. My throat was parched and craving the water in front of me so I grudgingly opened my mouth as brought the glass cup to my lips and the water filled my mouth gently. I never closed my eyes, instead staring directly into his cold, gray eyes as he seemed satisfied with my submissiveness. I stopped after my sip and turned my head away from him, my cheeks burning red.
"All this fuss just for that? Hmph, I thought you were better," He said as he placed the cup down and looked at me with the same old annoyance.
"And I thought you wouldn't be a pervert," I immediately held my breath, realizing what I just said to my Captain. I shouldn't have let that slip as he slammed his hand down and inched close to my face. His face was so close I could feel his hot breath on me, smelling of mint.
"A pervert, is that what you think of me? Hmm" He turned away, taking the water, his tea, and his candle as he left without another word, leaving me in the darkness. I have no idea what to make of his reaction so I went back upstairs to my room to try to get some sleep before morning.

The next morning
------------------------
I woke up the sound of knocking at my door. The sun had barely touched the horizon and I felt groggy, but it is expected as a soldier.
"Aye, good morning!" I yelled back at the mysterious knocker. They suddenly opened revealing Levi, standing before me again as I held back the urge to roll my eyes. "Last to bed, first to rise huh?" I stated sarcastically, already fed up with his presence.
"Trainee, it is time to live up to your name, meet me out back by the targets in 10 minutes. We are going to test your skills for myself. I don't believe you actually were number one in your class," he stated before turning away as quickly as he entered. I quickly got dressed and ran downstairs out the right side of the building. I saw the trees with the lines etched in of targets for practicing throwing knives, exactly my best subject. I saw Levi waiting for me, with a bundle of throwing knives laid out on a table before him.
"About time, you kept me waiting. Now take these and show me what you got," he stated before swiftly grabbing a knife and throwing it bullseye within a second finishing his sentence. His movements are so swift I couldn't even see him grabbing the knife that is undoubtedly vanished before me. He does have skills, despite being unorthodox to say the least
I walked up the set and grabbed three knives, hurdling all three into the air as I jumped and kicked the first one onto the target with precision. As the other two were falling I swiftly kicked the second into the third, sending them flying in opposite directions, all three hitting a bullseye. I looked back at Levi with pride as his face was cold.
"Not bad. You need work here there," he stepped closer to me as I felt myself lock up as he grabbed my wrists gently, guiding another knife into my hand and showing me a movement to throw without looking. His hands are so warm, and bigger than I expected. They seem so strong as I tried to refocus myself onto the lesson.
When he let go I practiced his technique, hitting yet another target, but slightly off this time
"Can't manage that can you? You think Titans will be as forgiving as a tree?" He sneered at me.
"It's my first time with your technique," I rebutted back at him. He came to me again, unsatisfied with my answer.
"That's not an excuse, I need you to be better or get out of my team," he stated harshly, grabbing my hand and making me face him.
"I don't know what your problem is, but you won't get rid of me that's easily!" I shoved him away but his strong body didn't budge. I briefly felt his abs, stronger than rocks. I looked up at him angrily but all I saw back was a smirk.
