"Byee, Shivuuu..." Unnati teased as she stepped out of the house, her voice dripping with mischief as she locked her hand with Manav and left with a satisfied smile on her face.
Shivank shook his head, but he couldn't stop the blush creeping up his neck. He quickly shut the door behind her, rubbing the back of his head to mask his embarrassment.
When he turned around, his gaze met Vaani's. She stood a few steps away, looking at him nervously. The moment their eyes locked, she forced an awkward smile, her fingers instinctively fidgeting with the edge of her pallu.
"Woh toh aise hi chedti rehti hai..." Shivank mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck.
Vaani nodded quickly, her eyes flickering downward as she turned away, walking further inside. She could feel him following her, his presence thick in the air. She squeezed her eyes shut for a second, trying to calm her racing heartbeat.
Then, out of nowhere,
"Movie dekhein!!" she blurted, suddenly spinning around with excitement. Shivank jumped, gasping dramatically as he took a step back, his hand clutching his heart.
"Toh itna chillane ki kya zaroorat thi?" he scolded, leaning against the nearby wall, still recovering from the unexpected outburst.
"Thoda excited ho gayi thi," she mumbled sheepishly, offering him an innocent smile before hurrying toward the sofa. She plopped down comfortably, grabbing a cushion for support.
Shivank sighed, shaking his head at her antics before following suit. He settled beside her, grabbing the remote from the table.
With a soft smile, he extended it toward her. "Lagao," he murmured, leaning back into the sofa, his gaze fixed on her in quiet admiration.
