It was early evening when Vaani stepped out of the shower, wrapped in Shivank's clothes. She inhaled deeply, letting his scent calm her restless heart. After two days apart, his familiar fragrance was a comfort she hadn't realised she'd missed this much. She sighed, missing the warmth of waking up in his arms, the feeling of safety they always brought her. It was all she needed right now. She misses her home. Him.

She checked her fever, it had mostly subsided, but her headache still throbbed.

"Aghhhh, it hurts so much," she groaned in pain, curling up on the bed, clutching her head. Just then, the door swung open, and Shivank rushed in, worry etched on his face. "Are you okay?" he shouted, alarmed.

Startled, Vaani shot up, her heart racing. "You scared me!" she shouted back, eyes wide.

"You scared me! Why were you screaming?" he yelled, concern turning into frustration.

"I'm angry because I have a headache! And I miss you!" she snapped, her voice rising again.

"I miss you too, but why are we shouting?!" Shivank replied, his voice still loud, but tinged with confusion.

"I don't know, you stop shouting!" she retorted, her frustration bubbling over.

"You stop shouting!" he countered, his tone matching hers.

"No, you're an idiot!" she yelled, her arms crossed defiantly.

"And you're mad!" he shot back.

"No, you're mad!" she shouted louder, her frustration palpable.

"Yes, I'm madly missing you!" he yelled, exasperation giving way to a sudden burst of emotion.

"Just come and kiss me!" Vaani shouted at the top of her lungs.
