"Maasi mujhe aise chodke mat jayiye." Vaani murmured tearfully as she spotted Prafulla standing at the door alongside the rest of the family after they met with the doctor. Shivank sat on the sofa, his head bowed, his eyes brimming with unshed tears. His love forgot about him and he couldn't stop the defeated feeling crawling and crashing down him.

"Aisa lagta hai tu hi mujhe bhul jayengi, yahan se jaane ke baad."

"Toh tum mujhe kaske gale lagalena, mujhe yaad aa jayega."

More tears fell from his eyes, when Manav approached him and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder, but Shivank pushed it away, his tears escaping despite his efforts to hide them. He quickly wiped his face, trying to compose himself, his heart felt suffocating as if the room was crushing him.

"Vaani, drama band kar." Prafulla's sharp voice cut through the room, causing everyone's tear-streaked faces to frown in confusion.

"Maasi, aap kya bol rahi ho? Maine kya kiya?" Vaani asked, her voice trembling, her eyes filled with hurt as she looked at the only person she remembered talk rudely to her.
