And just like that, The last of his doubts melted away.
Shivank smiled, a rare softness in his eyes as he cupped her cheeks.
"Tumhe mere liye yeh sab karne ki bilkul zarurat nahi," he murmured, pressing his forehead against hers. His voice was gentle, but the weight of his emotions was heavy.
Vaani closed her eyes, relaxing into him. "Aapke saath sach mein bahut accha lagta hai," she whispered, her fingers tracing the sharp lines of his jaw.
Before he could say anything, the sudden chime of the doorbell interrupted them.
Shivank sighed. "Main dekhta hoon."
She nodded, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze before stepping back.
Shivank exhaled deeply, pushing aside the unease creeping into his mind as he moved toward the door. But when he opened it, his entire body tensed.

"Aap log yahan kya kar rahe hain?" His tone was clipped, cold.
"Maine bulaya hai inhe," Vaani's voice rang from behind, her fingers slipping around his arm in a silent plea for calm.
Shivank clenched his jaw, suppressing the bitterness rising within him. Before he could respond, Niyati stepped forward, her eyes welling up as she took Vaani's hands, her gaze landing on her baby bump.
"Vaani, tu kitni pyaari lag rahi hai," she whispered, cupping her face before pulling her into a tight embrace.
Vaani smiled and hugged her back, while Shivank watched with restrained frustration.
