1. "I will find my answers."

She came back from the graveyard to the bungalow she owned, which she left long ago but was maintained by her brother's people. After completing her education and being a general surgeon for a year with an excellence in job, she applied to a well-known hospital in the city. Due to her sudden visit the business tycoon left his meetings and schedules to meet his beloved sister.

Ryan Randhawa entered the hall and sent everyone out, leaving him and Ahalya alone. Ahalya gestured for Ryan to sit on the couch. Ryan blankly stared at her; she stared back, saying, "Don't look at me as if I have committed a crime". "Why the hell did u come back without even informing me?" Ryan yelled at her out of concern.

Ahalya stood up, brought water to him, and said, "Because u never bothered to tell me that Christopher was dead." "And I want you to leave immediately", Ryan demanded. "I applied in a hospital, and I want to work here", Ahalya replied with a straight face. Ryan sighed and left to make a call.

After an hour, Ryan, with his stuff, came into the house saying, "I have a condition - I'll stay here till you are here." Ahalya looked at him and said, "Even I have one, none. Out of this house, no one will know I'm 'Mr. The Randhawa's' sister". They both agreed on their conditions.

As Ahalya didn't like any security and many helpers in the house Ryan made sure that the people were bare minimum. Despite being the biggest businessman, he had to surrender to his sister and be a protective brother.

On the other side, Adhir got a lead about the student drug business that an illegal import was scheduled. Even though it's just an import, Adhir made a plan to stop them somewhere in the middle rather than stopping them near the seaport.

The next day, with a fresh start, Ahalya went to join her first day as a surgeon. Her day was smooth, she performed surgeries. Everyone loved her professional work. She was silent all day and barely spoke. In the evening Ryan was desperately waiting for his sister. "why are you here?" Ryan asked as soon as she entered the house. Putting her stuff in their place, "I'm here because this is my city, and I wanted to work here", Ahalya answered. Ryan looked at her with sharp eyes as he understood that she was never going to tell him the actual reason.

Ryan cooked for both and Ahalya was eagerly waiting on the dinner table. They both started to eat until Ryan asked, "How did you know that Christopher was dead?" Ahalya stopped eating and said, "I watch the news, Ryan. Have some common sense." "By the way, it was never on the news", Ryan said while drinking water. Ahalya was too stunned to speak. The rest of dinner went silent. Ryan noticed that Ahalya's mood was changing, so he asked, "Why don't you visit the company?" to divert her. "I'm not interested in your company and stuff", Ahalya reluctantly answered. "our company", Ryan corrected her.

Ahalya looked at him, saying, "We need to talk". Ryan, while clearing the table, replied, "We can tell me whatever you want to." "Christopher!! He was dead. How and why?" Ahalya got to the point of not making eye contact. Ryan went near her and knelt so he could make eye contact and said, "I understand he was the only family member we had, and I don't know how and why he was killed, but please, I don't want you to find answers." consoled her in a worried tone.

Ahalya looked at him and asked with rage-red eyes "Do you even consider him as our family? You neither accepted his body nor informed me about his death. I don't understand what's wrong with you Ryan..!" "He told me not to do anything that might affect your safety," said Ryan, holding her hands. Ahalya, holding her tears, said, "Even in his death, he wanted my safety, and you think I'll sit idly knowing about his death. Whatever it takes, I'll find my answers" She stormed upstairs.

Ryan was worried about her safety as she had a threat and was going to protect her at any cost.

The next day evening, both the siblings completed their work and returned home. Ryan was launching a new hospital under their chain of businesses, which they both discussed, and she gave some input. As Ryan was busy she went to her room and entered her closet.

She opened an extra door and went through the information she collected related to Christopher, "I will punish them uncle!" she thought and went to bed wearing a plain satin nighty.

There was a suspicious sound in her balcony which woke her up. She slowly opened the door and went out taking slow steps. A hand pulled her and pinned her to that wall. The other hand closed her mouth to stop her from making any sound. He moved close to her ear and threatened to kill her if she tried to escape.
