*That afternoon*

I'm done assisting the surgeon. It was not that complicated, but it was a matter of a child's life. I went directly to my cabin. It was tough to resign it's just been a week. Someone knocked at the door. "Come in" I spoke. "Good afternoon Miss Ahalya." I heard a familiar voice. "Siddique?..... I didn't know you'd show up again. That too in my cabin." I leaned back on my chair. "I know, right? Last time I kidnapped you. This time I'm here to invite you to dinner." He said seating himself. "Dinner? With you." I asked. "Absolutely, not. I'm here on behalf of my boss. I'll pick you up. It's ok if you can't make it, I'll inform him." He announced. "Sure! I can join him. But this is not for him, it's for you." I said, getting up. He left after asking about my timings.

Adhir's POV

I sent Siddique because I know I'll end up flirting with her and she'll reject my invitation. I prepared the dinner myself. I'm overwhelmed and I wanted to share it with her. Am I trusting her? No. But I'm trying to know her. Who knows she might be from special forces. She is entering a dangerous world.

She's here, In my mansion, this time, it's her own will. She entered wearing something unusual. A black satin slit frock.! She never flaunted her beauty. She is exceptionally hot, with perfect curves, expressive eyes, and kissable lips, and her neckline and collarbone are making me lose it.

My eyes went wide and stayed that way until she snapped her fingers to get me back. "Is it your first time seeing a beauty.?" She smiled. Omg her smile just did something in my chest. "Come in." I gestured showing the way. "I must say you have a great taste." She said looking around. "Should I give you a tour?" I shouldn't have asked this. I'm seriously losing it to her. "No, thanks. I'm not interested. I'm here for dinner. I'll have it and leave." She declared. I laughed. "Yeah. I arranged the dinner in the garden. This side." I took her there and pulled her a chair.

"So, tell me, why did you invite me?". Isn't she too straightforward? "I think it's you who provoked me to kill Jaiswal. Hence you are my partner in crime. At least we could have dinner together." She smiled. Isn't she smiling a lot today? "Let's eat." I think something is not going right. "Let me serve." She got up to serve. Isn't she too sweet today? "Only food? Or do you like to serve something else?" I did it again. I flirted with her again. *Face palmed* "Stop being a nonsense Adhir." She squinted her eyes.

I choked on my water. "What happened? Are you ok?" straight face as always. "Yeah! I hope you like the food." Adhir? I'm I a close associate? She is hella mysterious.

"Let me take the liberty to ask you, why and how did Jaiswal get in your way?" She asked her doubts. "Arya Shetty, my late dearest sister. She was killed in the same way. I couldn't find who killed her. But someday, I will kill that bustard." I said, holding my tears and digging my fingers into my palm.

"Sorry, I don't often get emotional but when it's about her, I couldn't control." Swallowed my tears. "That little girl's mother wanted to meet me. I didn't know they were that helpless. She urged to take revenge for her daughter. This was not my business but her helplessness made me rethink." I shared the incident.

"I'm glad that you rethought." Her expression was unreadable. "Why don't you divulge details about your family?" "I think you already know. It's only me and my brother in my family."

She has nothing to open up? Did I just share a lot with her? Is she making me vulnerable? We finished our dinner. I insisted on dropping her, but she refused. I went inside leaving her near the car. She was different today.

The way she dressed, smiled and behaved was something not her or maybe I judged her that way. I noticed she was talking to Siddique showing him something in her phone. They look close as if they know each other well. She looked serious, got into the car and didn't look at Siddique again.

Ahalya's POV

I dressed up well to impress them, to tie them with me. I need to find some information, they might know or they can find out. I never knew a ruthless mafia man who could kill a person so brutally would be this vulnerable to a stranger like me. Or did I win his trust? He left me near the car, as I insisted I could manage on my own, and asked Siddique to stay until I left his mansion so that I could talk with him.

"Siddique," I called him, signalled him to come near me. "I wanted to ask you something personal." "I don't think anything personal between us will bring out good results. Ma'am.!" He surely rejected it. I smiled at him. "I just need a piece of information regarding an issue without your so-called boss's knowledge. Will that be possible?" I explained. He nodded agreeing.

I showed him a picture of bullets. "Who on earth is owning this gun? Recently who used it? Get that person's details ." I asked him. He keenly observed the picture before saying, "First, we need to know about the gun. This is-" "This is a 9mm gun with 0.355 calibre, Russian made and imported by Italians." I cut him off. He looked at me blankly.

"I knew you weren't a normal one. I don't want to take your cover off until you want it yourself. But remember you are involved with the mafia; if something goes wrong, we'll make sure you reach the afterlife safely. I'll find who currently owns and uses this gun." He concluded. I trust him. "Thanks, I'll reveal it for the time being. You can trust me." I got into the car and got back home.
.
.
Ryan waited for me to reach. "Hey Ahu. How did your dinner go? When are you introducing your boyfriend?" He asked me curiously as soon as I got home. "Shut up Ryan. He is not my boyfriend. I had a business meeting." I cut his curiosity. "So when will you join.?" "I'll be there from tomorrow," I said going into my room. Soon I'll find out who killed Christopher and why.
