Ryan's POV

I stood there listening to Ahu. The way we became each other's family and stood with each other for more than 15 years was unpredictable at that time. We shared a more precious bond than a blood relation.

Adhir stood from his chair and walked towards her. Leaned down holding her hands. "You pushed me away many times and I understood something was stopping you. I knew something made you tough, but I could never imagine the extent to which you suffered. I'm sorry for your losses, Sweetheart!" He expressed himself. Wait. Sweetheart?

"Thanks, Mr. Shetty." She smiled. "Don't tease me dear." He said rubbing her nose.

Enough!! I can't bear this anymore. "You should thank me instead, Mr. Shetty," I interrupted them. He cleared his throat and wiped the escaped tears. "I'm supposed to, Mr. Randhawa. You protected her and stood by her when she required the most." He said shaking hands with me. "I never knew you loved me this much! Ahu." I said leaning against the table.

"How did it go? How are our patients and their attendees?" she asked, cutting me off and walking from her place. "Everything is under control and patients are doing good. I talked to everyone and no one will utter a single word." I said walking behind her. "Have breakfast and rest." She said handing me a plate.

"Tell me. Why are you here? It's not Anand. If it was about him, you would be here, a long back." I asked her again, sitting back in the usual places, and I sat along with them.

"I don't think Anand would be alive by now; if he did, Christopher would have informed me. I'm here because of Christopher. He contacted me right before his death. I was on call with him, when this incident took place. He said something strange 'Vipers are the reason for Godse's family destruction'. I don't know what he was talking about, but whatever it is, that took his life." she said, shocking me.

He never contacted me unless it was an emergency. He told me not to inform anything to her that may cause harm. He knew he was going to die. That's when the realization hit me because he wanted her to know about his death.

"Ahalya, leave this country, immediately! Christopher wanted you to know about his death; he knew you would avenge his death." I said in a worried and shaking tone. "I'm aware of that." She said shocking me. "I can't run away forever and it's not just about my revenge. Vipers broke the system my father created. And I'll bring that balance and system back." she said in her declaration.

"I promised Mr. Godse that you'll never get involved with mafia. And now you are a doctor, I beg you to stay away and continue your duties as a doctor." I requested her. "Wait! You are here to take care of Vipers. Are you now getting involved with us?" Siddique was shocked at the declaration.

"Sid! Relax. We are here to take care of her. She can just do whatever she can." Adhir said leaning back and giving a proud smile. "Mr Shetty, can you please stop giving wind to her fire? She is not safe here, and she has already lost a lot in this mafia world." I explained my worries.

Adhir's POV

I understood him. If I was in his shoes, I would have reacted the same. But now I'm standing with her. Another pillar of strength. Even if she burns the world, I'll stand behind her to support and take care that she doesn't burn or hurt herself.

"I'm not worried about my safety anymore. The only concern is to sleep peacefully without having nightmares. Ryan! I'm leaving for the hospital. I have patients to check on." she said and moved to her room. Mr. Randhawa sighed sitting back. "Mr. Randhawa, let her do what she decides to. We know that we can't stop her. Instead, let's keep her safe. Isn't that our responsibility." I explained.

"You are right Mr. Shetty. But why are you talking like you have feelings for my sister?" he asked, raising eyebrows. "I'm glad you understood, Ryan. It's your sister who is keeping her distance from me. And I'm a man of my word. I promised her, without her consent, that I would not declare a relationship or force her. And I can't stop loving her. For each second, my respect for her is hitting peaks, I value her more than anything. I assure you, neither I'll let my feelings harm her nor let these feelings deviate her from the decisions she made." I let out everything.

I observed his expression changing throughout. Before he could react, Sid whispered "You love her!" I signalled him to remain silent. Nodded in response. She came down to go out. I got up saying, "I'll drop you." This time, I definitely can't let her go alone.

We sat in the car; she remained silent. To break the silence, "Sweetheart, is it really necessary for you to attend to your patients after all this? Vipers will know that I'm protecting you and they'll understand that you are my weakness." "Adhir, stop growing feelings for me. In this journey, I can't reciprocate." She said with a straight face.

I pushed on the break, "I'll still have my feelings for you and I'll stand behind you in your journey. You can't stop my feelings or me." I said going near her, closing the distance between us. We could sense each other's breath. *removed the seat belt* "Reached." I retreated.

She checked all the patients and talked with everyone. It was post-lunch time. I drove her back to the mansion. The entire ride remained silent. "Let's talk; call Sid to your office." Saying this she went to her room.

Ahalya's POV

I need information about Vipers. So, I assembled Adhir and Sid along with Ryan. "What are you planning?" Ryan asked in annoyance. "Who is the boss of Vipers? I need more details about Vipers." I asked both seniors in this field. "No idea; Vipers are active everywhere, but I never heard or seen their boss. Their boss remained hidden." Sid stood up leading me to sit.

He took the initiative to talk about Vipers. "As you know, we never get any information about the Viper's boss, we searched the entire underworld for his identity. But no use. We couldn't even find his closest assassins or spies." He said. Taking a gap to speak, "But! Guess what? We found the time of his beginning days in the Mafia. He entered into the underworld as the shadow." This information shocked us. "So, when was that?" I asked becoming curious.

"It was around 12 years ago. And I think this piece of information will bring immense happiness to Ahalya. Soon...! he'll show up!" he exclaimed. "What?" we shouted at the same time. "How is this even possible? He was hidden for more than 12 years. Why would he show up now?" Adhir asked in confusion.

"It's the consignment you snatched and made business out of it. That consignment belongs to the Russian mafia, and that's why they are willing to do anything to get their consignment back, attack the hospital, and get his most dangerous assassin into this mission. Everything is for that consignment that doesn't even exist now." He concluded.

"But is this all only for drugs," Ryan questioned. "No, it's about his reputation in the underworld, drugs and weapons consignment. He lost the biggest Russian alliance." Sid answered. I looked at Adhir, but he was lost in his thoughts; he looked like he was puzzled by something. "Adhir!" I called him out. He snapped out but still looked preoccupied.
