A/N POV
Ahalya joined her brother's organization - AR hospitals. Ryan started to spy on his sister. Siddique gathered information on the person.
Meanwhile, somewhere in the underworld. One 35-year-old man - from Vipers, "Let Adhir continue with his business. I'm gonna take over my seized buses from him. Later I'll see how to get rid of him....... Keep a close watch, find the right moment to get his arrogance hit the ground." He spoke with a stern voice, ordering men around him.
Adhir's POV
After that night, I kinda miss her. I'm not supposed to; she is not someone I can trust, but how the hell I'm being dragged towards her? I was thinking of visiting her, but her brother is spying on her. I know it's about her safety. And when I'm being a shadow behind her, no one will dare to touch her.
These days I have information from my spies that Vipers are planning to capture the drugs I have. The least they know is there is no such left. I already made business out of it. I decided to get closer to My Daredevil to make her spill beans. Difficult..!! I know but I'll not compromise. The closest I could go near is through the bedroom's balcony.
A/N POV
Adhir decided to meet Ahalya in her room. He climbed the wall, crossed the security, and went into the bungalow. It seemed empty. He went into the hall and was surprised to see a huge family photo hanging there. "She looks so cute in that. No seriousness..., I can see a happy-go-lucky little girl. Who took her smile off?!." A door movement sound is heard. He figures out which corner in the house is her room and quickly goes in there. He hides in her room behind the door. It's Ryan and Ahalya.
Ryan's POV
I entered the house; she came along saying, "You don't have to pick me up! I can manage myself." How can I just leave her by herself after the incident in her previous hospital? "I know you can, Ahu, but isn't that my responsibility to bring you home safely?" I said in a dramatic tone. "Stop being too dramatic laddoo." "Don't call me that. I'm not Laddu anymore." I said, going into the kitchen. "Oh common. You were cute and Laddu in the past." She said squeezing my nose. She is such a tease.
I gave her water. "It looks like you are happy joining into AR groups," I said. Seeing her smiling these days. "I'm... but I'm not planning to stay longer." She declared. "What? why...?" I asked out of shock. "I'm here for a purpose, Ryan; when it's done, I'll leave.... to Australia." She said in a serious tone. I sense she is here to find answers related to Christopher's death but I hope her goal remains constant without any deviation. "When you are done, you don't have to leave; you can stay here to take up AR," I explained to her.
"I don't want you to spy on me forever Ryan....!" She turned around. "You knew..?" I asked out of shock. "You know I have sharp senses." She said flipping her hair back. It's nice to see her calm and happy. She left upstairs.
Adhir's POV
Listening to their conversation, it feels like she is still hiding her happy inner self. She opened the door and went into the closet to change. My urge to peak inside is increasing with every increasing second.
In one instance, a force pinned me to the wall. My throat is just a few centimetres away from a sharp knife. "Why do you always carry knives ?" I questioned removing her hand. "why do you always show up suddenly.? It's my natural reflex." She said throwing her hands up in the air. She placed the knife on the table. I stood behind her, hovering over her. She froze at the moment I could sense it.
She can't react to emotions, romance is not for her. She gradually turned, placing her hand on my chest to make space between us. I leaned towards her, whispering, "I missed you" while brushing my lips on her ear. This eye lock, universes froze due to the intensity she is holding in her eyes. I was waiting for her to react.
"Ouch!!! Did u just pinch me... I mean who even does that in such a beautiful moment.?" I whisper yelled. She just pinched me in the midriff. "You think you can get information through these stupid strategies..?" she said, pushing me and tried walking past me, I held her hand.
I pulled her close by placing my hand around her waist. "Initially, yes, but now, I don't want to get anything. You have the liberty and freedom, so, whenever you are willing to share, I'll be there." I said while tucking a hair strand behind her ear. "Really...?" she asked sarcastically. "Yeah, I won't proceed until I have your consent. So... may I?" leaning a bit to kiss and pulling her a little close. "No, don't." She said, breathing against my lips and looking into my eyes.
Her eyes have something to say. Her eyes speak a lot without her saying a single word. I retreated and left her waist. But the closeness remained the same. "I can wait", I told her, holding her cheek gently. "Don't get your hopes high Adhir. I'm not someone right to you. Choose a person who is worth waiting." She said turning around.
I didn't get what she meant, but if it was about her death threats, then I could assure her that even the Grim Reaper had to pass me to take her. I couldn't tell her that. "There's so much you don't know about me, either this isn't the right time to tell you." She said sitting on the bed. I sat beside her keeping the gap. "Let's not talk about this, till you are willing to share things. Rather ask me. You can't do it.... I'll do it." She smiled at me.
"Thanks for understanding. How did you kill Jaiswal, when there was such tight security and with zero sound.?" She asked me surprised. I laughed. "You have no idea about the mafia, sweetheart... All his security were my men; his family was under our control, and for a few hours, the entire hospital was under my influence. Does that answer your question? I leaned onto the bed.
"Now tell me about Siddique." She asked out of nowhere. She doesn't have to know. "Siddique? He is my brother from another mother and my most trusted man just like his name. Why do you ask?" "I was just curious, he seemed like he could do anything for you." She replied. I hummed in response.
I got up and started to walk. She is hiding something that would be related to Siddique. "Wait. One last question. What kind of relation are 'WE' sharing?" I looked back again, an unreadable expression. "We? We are nothing..... *that hurts* unless you approve...!" she smiled. "Don't wait for me. I will never come back after I leave. Now, it's time for you to leave." She concluded. Never come back...! What was that? I won't ask her. "Fine, good night my daredevil." I hugged her before jumping out of her balcony.
