*Later at the breakfast table.*
She came wearing her usual, a regular cotton kurti. She looks delighted even regularly dressed. She sat wishing Sid. "So, tell me what are you most curious about, I'll answer that first." "Looks like we are having one on one interview... How is it your brother meeting Sid for the second time? What exactly am I missing out?" I asked without hesitation.
Sid choked on his coffee. She pressed her lips, concealing a laugh. "Answer this. He would be happy to hear from you." She said turning to Sid. He widened his eyes. "I thought you would ask about Ahalya's firing and fighting skills." He said in a surprised tone. "I know she needs time to explain herself. But involving you is something I'm curious about." I explained. "Tell him." She assured him.
.
."Fine! Do you remember when you tailed us and cleared Vipers for us? I dropped her off at the hospital. That's when something unusual happened. I noticed some cars entering the parking lot. I immediately turned the car because I knew whom those cars belonged to - Vipers. I parked my car and rushed to save Ahalya. I was astonished by her moves. She held a pocket knife and was continuously striking it into their bodies, their vital areas. Several people got out of the cars, and that's when I was involved in using my gun.
But then someone shouted her name and came to her rescue, it was her brother. He handed over a handgun. But there was no silencer, so I threw a thick book in her direction which I found in some doctor's car. She shot a person through the book. Silently, we finished everyone. And then I met her brother. I told him we belonged to the mafia. He asked whether we could keep her safe, to which I agreed. That's all. Nothing else." He concluded the incident.
I sighed listening to it. "If you want to share, go ahead, Ahalya." She smiled. "Do you know the mafia's godfather?" she asked instead of sharing.
Ahalya's POV
"Yes! Mr. Godse. I don't remember his name as I was new in the field back then. There was a discussion about him in the past and I was informed that he died in an accident." He replied without hesitation.
"And do you know he had a daughter?" I asked observing his expressions. "Yeah! Heard she died in the same accident." I smiled at him. "I'm that daughter. I am Aadya Godse." "I don't-"He was thunderstruck by his expression, he couldn't even utter a word.
Sid looked shocked but was brave enough to say, "This is the reason that you are completely trained." I nodded in his response.
A/N POV
She started to narrate. "There are only 2 things in Mafia, either you die or you get betrayed by the closest ones. The second one is worse. My Dada was a godfather to the underworld but for me, he was an ideal man. He never disrespected women and children were his priority. Took care of business and me.
Despite losing my mom, I never felt her absence. He was a one-woman man. His strong mentality to believe that a girl child can also take over his responsibilities made me a trained fighter and a shooter. It was my choice whether to be in Mafia or not.
He did business with ethics. He kept the entire underworld at his fingertips, and there was always an invisible system that flowed within the underworld. My Dada didn't die in an accident. There was no such accident." She said holding her tears.
IN PAST
When Ahalya was 13 years..... She was training with guns. Her sharpshooting skills made everyone else doubt their own. "Aadya!!" A man with a strong, authoritative voice called her out softly. A young girl with spirit energy walked across the room, dropping her gun.
"You need to take care of this child. She was abused by some monsters." He handed over a little girl to Aadya. "I'll take care, dada," she said, taking the girl with her. It was common for these father and daughter duo to save children from monsters who misuse their power and authority.
