Ahalya's POV

I know, it's hurting him. But I have no choice. I have a purpose to stay; once it is accomplished, I'll leave. The moment he leaned to kiss me, I understood his feelings, but that's my misery; I can't reciprocate it. I'm not sure whether he is doing this to find information or if he has genuine feelings for me. Either way, I can't express myself. He is trusting Siddique and I'm using him. How would he react if he knew...

Siddique POV

I knew she wasn't a normal citizen because of the information I collected. It was nothing. Moreover, it looked like it was made up. She does have some other identity. If she is in some special forces, it would be better if I informed Adhir.
.
.
"Adhir", I called him as soon as he entered the mansion. "Yeah, Sid." He looked like he lost a battle yet he is happy to lose it. "I have to tell you about Miss Ahalya. There's a lot more about her than she shows it to the world." He listened patiently. "I know that. Let's give her some time. I know something is troubling you." He answered. "What if she is from any special forces? And she asked me to find a person."

"Then do it. Find it for her. If she turns out to be someone unwelcoming, kill her." He said moving to his study. Fine! If he says so, he would have a backup to it. The person she said to find is from Vipers. What does she have to do with a person working for the mafia? The details she knew about the gun is bothering me. Does she know how to use guns? This question keeps lingering in my head.

Adhir's POV

If Sid is bothered by something, he blends sky and earth to find answers, and when it's about her, he would go to any extent. Maybe, this is the reason I assured him we could kill her. I don't think I can lose her or I can't lose it to her. Either way, I can't force myself on her. I'll use my sources to find the answers.

***In the search for answers from those who held them, are we all playfully chasing the secrets of our own stories?***

A/N POV

Ahalya is meeting Siddique in a café. She sat at the table ordering coffee. Siddique showed up in a hurry. The situation seems to be heated for an unknown reason. "Hey.! Sorry for keeping you waiting." He stated while sitting. She looked up, saying, "No worries. What would you like to have?" "Nothing, I think I should leave soon." He said looking around.

She cancelled the order as there was a sense of unsettlement in the surroundings. "Now tell me, who used the gun?" she asked getting straight to the point. "Firstly, convince me that you are not from any special forces with an ultra motive to take down the mafia or underworld." He declared. He must trust her to share details of the person as he works in Siddique's rivalry. She looked at him, saying, "If I'm from special forces, I would have already found the person. As I'm not, I need your assistance. Besides I'm aware of the fact that the person I'm searching for is from the underworld." She said crossing her hands over her chest.

He smirked. "I'll provide the details next time. You should leave now." He ordered in seriousness. Ahalya had the intuition of shadiness from the moment of his arrival. She didn't ask anything but instantly obeyed him. She got up and he safely dropped her at the hospital.

Adhir's POV

I knew something was up, that's the reason I was tailing Sid myself. It's her! I was observing both of them from afar. He didn't know that there were men from Vipers following them. I cleared the way for them. I should get involved before it's too late.

Back at the mansion...

"Sid." I waved at him from the 1st-floor corridor as soon as he entered the mansion. He looked worn out, with dishevelled hair and clothing. Signalled him to join me in the office. "I think you should be more careful before it's too late," I said, walking into the room. He stood still blankly. He came smiling and leaned against the table. "You think I didn't know? It's been nearly 15 years since I started working for you." He said folding his hands.

"About me following you or the Vipers ?" I asked. "I knew both. That's the reason I made an effort to drop her myself. And I know you cleared them." He concluded. "I suggest you to be careful. It might put her in trouble." I said in a low voice. He agreed to be careful and said not to tail them while leaving. I know that more than anyone else, he can protect her.

Siddique's POV

The least he knew was that she didn't need anyone to protect her. She is a tigress pretending to be a scared cat. I should be careful, Vipers are tailing me. The person she is looking for is an assassin, the ruthless cleaner for Vipers. I wonder how she ended up making me find him; he was on the run after killing someone.

Ryan's POV

I know it's important to take care that she is safe and not inviting any trouble. She is meeting people these days. Those people seem not so welcoming but I decided to stay on her side no matter what. She drove to the hospital as per her schedule, and every corner of the parking lot had a surveillance. I always keep a watch on her; the entire time she is here.

A/N POV

"You missed her? Idiots!! can't you even follow a woman?" A man yelled out in frustration. *gunshot* he shot a person to death. "Track her down. I need her alive." He growled, ordering men. "Boss. We can get her. She works in AR hospitals." A man came forward saying. "Then what's the delay get her." He questioned. "Boss. The owner of the hospital is a famous businessman. People say he has connections with the underworld. If we touch anyone under him, I doubt the result." He concluded.

"You think I care about a mere businessman? Keep him away from the hospital and get the entire hospital under our control. Make sure he never knew the mafia is involved." He said darkening his eyes. "Yes, boss." They all went to execute the plan.
