Adhir's POV
"What happened?" Russo asked. "Vipers. This time it's their boss. He proposed to get you on your knees to Viktor." I got straight to the point. I signalled everyone left to get out. Russo smirked. I know this reaction. "Viktor is a kid. Our men can handle him." He assured me.
"What information do you have about the boss?" He asked, turning to Sid. "We got his name. And he happened to reveal himself. Even from this, I couldn't find much. I searched the entire dark web. No results." Sid replied.
"Not much from our side as well. That stronzo somehow managed to enter the dark world. *Gulping his glass.* We have-" Before he could complete what he was saying, we were attacked.
The priority to protect my sweetheart peaked. But this is for Russo. I started to cover Ahalya. "Can you handle this? With this dress." I shouldn't say this, but her dress looked inappropriate for a fight. She glared.
Taking a layer of her gown, "I'm ready, in case." Tores it in style to have more access. "Gun" she commands. I gave her one. Firmly she exchanges into her left hand. Sid and I moved forward to fire at the ones supposed to enter.
I can hear a heavy metal sound in the silence. That heavy metal made a clicking sound - the sound of unlocking a Gun. And it repeated, I assume both of them were ready to fire. We started to fire and fight. In the middle of this, a bullet startled me.
It went from a close range. I turned in the direction of that gun. It was Russo. He started to fire on my men, who entered the scene to cover us. "Why?" My voice travelled. Shooting two of my men, he steadily lowers his hand. "Vipers, planted spies. If they go out, they'll pass it to the leader about Aadya." He pointed to her.
I looked at her to check her. She walked past me, handing the gun back. She gestured to Sid to follow her. Russo shot a man in the knee so that we could collect some information. They took that traitor.
"I found them in the check before landing in this country. I know how they'll end. I have my men in Vipers; they'll die working for us, in one word, 'Loyal'." He tucked his gun. I looked at him with pride and confidence.
He doesn't speak much but whenever he does, he'll never back on it. "I'll take care of Anderson, handle Viktor." I left the club for Angelo. He gave a nod in response. Our basement is being engaged these days.
I reached home and entered the hall, "Where were you? I was waiting for you." A voice echoed. Ryan walked from the other side. "Dude! Stop being fruity." I said and walked past him. I can see him making faces behind me.
I got down into the basement to see both of them hinting at each other to kill him. "You should tell me first about the conversation that happened." I moved near the chair. The traitor fell unconscious.
"Vipers are planning on an attack. Anderson is making it huge. He hired extra people for the attack. He declared a war. It is near the old, abandoned steel factory. Let's discuss the plan."
Ahalya's POV
I observed him. He looked least bothered, it happens when he already has a plan for the execution. He'll never say it out, but it always puts me on edge. "Hand him to the field team. They'll take care." He commanded.
He is hot for that! Ahalya get yourself together. I blinked to shed the thoughts. Sid handed him and we all sat at the dining table. "Let's put an end to the war, Anderson commenced, and I will put it to the cease." He growled.
"Attacking is the only way left. We have defended enough." Sid stated. We all agreed to it. "A day later, we will be ending this. Sid and I will take care inside the factory. Ahalya will be on standby, taking care outside of the factory. The only thing I want and expect from you is to be safe without getting harmed. Understand!" His voice softened.
"I disapprove of this. Ahalya is going nowhere. Adhir, I know what she is capable of but that doesn't imply I can send her on a war. I can't allow this!" Ryan disapproved. I looked at him. He is distressed about sending me.
"Ryan, it is not to convince you but let me assure you, if anything happens to her, I'll hand my gun to you, along with me. I'll have no other reason to live if I fail to keep her safe." Adhir assured. These words melt my heart and I know I shouldn't feel this way.
I stood up to say, "I can keep myself safe, Ryan. I'm sure you know it better than anyone else on this earth." I turned to Adhir and Sid. "I'll take care of the men outside the factory and Ryan will be on standby. This will keep him relaxed and you can be assured." They agreed to it.
"Before we disperse, Viktor will be found dead by the time we finish this operation," Adhir announced. My fists tightened. I wanted this but it doesn't feel anything right.
We dispersed, and I was walking back to my room when a pull on my hand changed my direction. Adhir cornered me between the wall and him. "Be safe sweetheart. Men around you want that. We are willing to protect you to any extent." He used a low husky voice.
"You don't have to be dangerously close to say that." I placed my hand on his chest making space. "I know how far you guys can go. Don't worry I can finish this without getting injured." I spoke.
"Let me ask you. After we get down, Anderson, your revenge will come to an end. Would you accept me and my feelings?" His voice almost became shaky.
"There's a long way to go, Adhir. I can't decide right away." I said. But ouch, That hurts. He stepped back, "Relax. Tomorrow we have to prepare. Good night, sweetheart." He walked away. There is more than pain in him.
I know our relationship has evolved more than that from the beginning, where only he felt the pain and now I can feel that too. These thoughts kept lingering in my head. I went to my room to sleep but I knew how this good night would end.
