GERARD PORTER AND CATTY PORTER

NOTES
this was in my brain~ ~
Gerard walked around the room, checking and double checking Catty's freezer. Why had she tried to run away? If she'd just stayed put, she would be out running around right now. She'd even had a mission coming up. But she ruined it.
He looked down. On the floor was a small sock monkey. His daughter's toy. Hambo.
It was basically a scrap of fabric. Fabric and buttons.
So why did he feel so guilty, looking at it?
He picked up the toy. It was in good shape, considering how long Catty had it. Jaqueline had bought it for her when Hannah was pregnant.
Hannah.
Gerard darkened at the thought of his late wife. The woman who's taken away his only accomplishment. His little Catalina.
He shook his head. He had Catty back. And he wasn't going to lose her.
"Is the subject ready for transportation?" another scientist asked. Gerard hadn't bothered to learn his name.
"Almost!" Gerard called. He walked to the cryofreezer. Inside lay his daughter.
His beautiful baby girl.
He opened the freezer.
He placed Hambo in his daughter's arms.
He pressed a kiss to her forehead.
"She's ready!" he called to the other scientist.
