There were books everywhere. It has been a while since [Name] entered the bookstore. But there was a slight problem: they didn't know where the manga section was. The building had several fully stacked floors of books and comics, but they couldn't find what they were looking for. Their feet started to hurt from the amount of walk they have done, their stomach made loud noises in it's emptiness. As they were about to give up, they saw a sign with small letters.
[Name] rushed to the sheet of paper that was being hung on the wall, and skimmed through the text until they found the important part. Manga: floor 4. They let out a sigh of relief, then took a 180 degree turn, and started to walk towards the staircase. The christmas decorations were already put out, even though it was only around November. The ournaments and the big christmas tree almost made [Name] forget their original intention on the 4th floor, but after shooking their head and gathering their thoughts, they found the stacked shelves of manga.
'Ao Haru Ride... A Silent Voice... Attack on Titan...' they read the titles on the spines, but none of them was the one they have been looking for. After realising it's in alphabetical order, they skipped to the B's. That was the moment something caught their eyes. 'Bungou Stray Dogs. Found it'. They reached to grab the manga.
And that was when they woke up.
[Name] quickly opened their eyes. They looked around the classroom of Yokohama's private school, trying to guess how long they have been asleep for. The algebra exercises on the board made them realize it was still math. They slightly yawned as they leaned back on the chair, and picked up a pencil to copy the things from the board. It was not usual for them to fall asleep this easily. Especially during class. Like there was a reason somewhere hidden at the back of their head to do so.
The dream haunted them during the remaining time of the class. 'What was the meaning behind the dream? Should I look for allusions? I have heard of some manga what I've seen there, but... What the heck is Bungou Stray dogs?'.
Suddenly, the bell rang.

In the cafeteria, the loudest table was probably the one, where [Name] and their friends sat. It was not a big group, but their voices echoed through the room, like they spoke through speakers. The only silent member of the group was [Name], who is usually the one who participates in the conversations the most. But for now, they just sat there with an expressionless face, and sometimes took a bite of the peanut butter and jam sandwich they brought to school.
The dream felt too real.
They felt that it was not something their imagination created, but more like a memory from the past. [Name] had a bad feeling in their stomach. It was like the body tried to remind [Name] of something important in the past, but unfortunely, doesn't matter how much they tried to recall it, they failed. 'I shouldn't let a dumb dream bother me this much.' thoughts like this filled their head.
"Hey, [Name], why are you so quiet? What are you thinking about?" a person called Ren interrupted the (almost) peace in [Name]'s mind.
"Oh, It's nothing. I'm just really tired. I literally fell asleep during maths." they replied, trying to change the subject.
"Yeah, I almost died of laughter. You are lucky the teacher didn't notice." joined the conversation Amaya.
"Bruh." said the most typical answer for a 13 years old [Name].
"Yeah, but how do you have so good grades? Okay, except for History, we all know that your history grades are ass... But for the rest? Is it because your parents are teachers here?" asked Kei.
And that was the moment [Name] went silent again. Their grades. Whenever they got an A, they felt like it never belonged to them. Yes, they did study. However, every time they get to see their marks on a test, they go blunt.
"I have no idea."
After it seemed like Ren and the other two people changed topics, [Name] took out their phone, and immediately opened the first browsing app they had come accross. They typed 'Bungou Stray Dogs' into the search engine, then waited. After only staring at the loading screen for about a minute, the app couldn't find anything related to what they looked up for.

'My parents are out on a dinner, so that means I am free until 10 pm.' They headed to the park instead of home with that mindset. [Name] knew that if they would be in their own room, other things would only distract them from thinking over things. Things like that dream. They couldn't find a meaning behind it, and it irritated them.
They sat on a bench near the entrance, and put their school bag on the ground, not caring if it gets dirty. They loosened the tight tie around their neck, as they were still in the typical blue and white colored school uniform.
They laid on their back on the bench, then let out a sigh. 'This shitty dream won't get out of my head... what was that manga called again?' They thought as they tried to recall everything from the dream. 'It was the first volume in the series... the cover... what was it like again? A probably teen with white hair and choppy bangs, a blonde haired dude facing their back, and maybe a man in a beige coat?'
It started getting harder to remember these details as the dream started to fade in their mind. Noticing this, [Name] sat up and opened their bag. They found their english notebook, flipped to the end, and started taking notes under the title of November 29.
A minute passed. Then five. Then thirty. It already started to get dark, but they didn't care. If they had to use the flashlight on their phone, because it was so dark, then they used it. If they saw a creepy looking man, then they moved to another bench. They did anything, but stop taking notes, and writing ideas about the hidden meaning behind it...
...until a stray cat sat in front of them.
