"Having two abilities don't make sense at all..."
Ranpo sat in his chair, munching on some jolly ranchers, while being surrounded by [Name] and Tanizaki.
"...but it is not impossible." he finished the sentence, which became more dramatic than how much he wanted it to be.
"B-but... What if it was just a weird dream?" Tanizaki refuted, but the raven haired detective shushed him.
"We can't be sure, until Kunikida arrives." he looked at [Name]. "Tell me, how will Kunikida save the little girl?"
The kid thought for a moment, trying to recall this very specific detail.
"Yosano will heal them." they answered, quite sure about this piece of information. "Yosano was around the station at that time... But I can't clearly remember for what reason."
Ranpo's eyes widened. He was visibly in shock by the accuracy of the child. 'Yosano really is out shopping near the station... They really do have a second ability... But how?' He got up from his chair, and started walking in circles. By the amount of detective shows [Name] has watched, they knew that he was deeeply trying to put the puzzle pieces together in his head. On the outside, however, he looked like someone who just escaped the psych ward.
"W-what is going on, Ranpo?!" Tanizaki shrieked.
The detective stopped on his tracks and turned to the ginger.
"The kid is right. Yosano is shopping. She didn't come to work today." he took off his glasses. "Something is not right. Something is definitely not right."
"We should probably just wait for Kunikida to arrive..." Tanizaki suggested.

"I can't believe it!" the ginger groaned.
The three of them formed a circle around Kunikida and Yosano as soon as they arrived, demanding to tell every detail about the incident.
[Name] managed to keep a straight face while listening to the man. They had no reason to act surprised. They knew they were right from the start, but there was no point in flexing about this ability. Rather than that, [Name] felt the anxiety level rising. Something was off about them, and their "abilities" - they were not even sure how to call this phenomenon.
"I don't understand." Ranpo spoke up. "We all witnessed both of their skills, there is no chance any of them was just imagined by [Name]. However, one person can't have more than one ability... I'm doomed."
The kid could just partly understand the shock on the others' faces. Sure, Ranpo was a great detective, but there is a possibility he can't solve a hard case... right?
"Ranpo-"
"[Name], is there a possibility your parents were ability users?" the detective cut Yosano off, and faced the kid.
"What..?"
"Did you parents have supernatural abilities?" he repeated himself, but he was more impatient by every second. "They might have transferred one of those to you when they died... No. I don't think it's possible to transfer one to someone who already possesses a skill... Damn it."
"I have never seen him like this before..." Yosano muttered.
"Ranpo, are you okay?" [Name] asked with a quiet tone of voice. They couldn't see the childish and egoist detective anymore, and it scared them. Would an unsolved case scar him this much?
"I am fine." he straightened his back, then a weird smile formed on his face. "Time to give up! I'm out of here."
Ranpo stormed out of the office, leaving almost everyone flabbergasted. No one knew where he was going, but one thing was for sure: he was not fine.
