When [Name] woke up, Fukuzawa already went to work. It could have been around noon. They haven't checked the clock yet.
The man only left a message on the fridge, which the kid barely noticed. He quickly explained how he had to leave [Name] at home, since he didn't want to be late, and he didn't want to wake up the kid either. They read the small note with a straight face.
Their eyes felt extremely tired and dry. Their head was hurting. Their body was weak. They wanted to cry, but they held it back. All because of that dream. Heck, they didn't even smile when they saw the small cat Fukuzawa drew on the corner of the post-it.
[Name] went to the bathroom and washed their face with ice cold water. They leaned on the sink and stared at the child in the mirror while the water was still dripping from their head.
'This life isn't mine. I am just a replacement of somebody.' they wondered while looking in their [eye color] eyes. 'And that somebody took over my life. My other life, back at home.'
[Name] poured more icy water on their face when they felt like they are about to shed some tears.
'And here I am. I wasn't supposed to find out about this, were I...?'

The kid arrived to the agency a lot later than the others.
They stepped into the familiar room with a tired smile on their face. [Name] greeted everyone like a shitty dream didn't just haunt them again. All of the detectives and the clerks welcomed them.
Many of them had a joyful expression on their faces. [Name] had no idea why. It was weird. Yosano and Atsushi exchanged a glance behind their back. They knew something the kid didn't. It made [Name] feel irritated. Not that irritated, just slightly unsettled by the random action.
The kid was about to search for a new read from the bookshelf, and lie in one of the booths to pass time, while definitely not thinking about that dream, no, that would be too much for them. [Name] felt weak. They didn't want to cry again. Everythings too loud at the moment. It's all too overwhelming. Were that one light bulb always flickering? It annoyed them how they noticed all the smallest things that could make them mad.
The kid headed towards the opposite direction, when Tanizaki's voice stopped them.
"Wait, [Name]!" the ginger held back a smile. "The president and Ranpo-san are waiting for you in the office. They have something to tell you."
[Name] examined Tanizaki's face for a moment or so. His act broke and his mouth formed a sweet smile.
"Oh. Thanks for letting me know." said the kid.
They didn't want to meet any of them. Atleast at the moment. [Name] knew they had to tell Fukuzawa about that dream either way, but they wanted to do it as late as possible. They wouldn't be able to get out [Name]'s words clearly if they start bawling their eyes out again. The kid needed some alone time to process everything themselves. Some time, to be able to talk about it flawlessly, and to not get flowed by tears just by the thought of it.
But there is a chance they want to talk to [Name] because of something completely different. Maybe they decided to sign the kid in a school, after realizing this homeschooling is a bit hard. Or Fukuzawa probably has some other great news to share with them. [Name] couldn't really put a finger on what else could be the reason they were called, but they could only hope for the best. It's the greatest outcome if [Name] can avoid that topic, after all.
The kid stepped in the office without knocking.
Both Fukuzawa and Ranpo looked up from the papers scattered around his table, but the raven haired boy was the first to react. He quite literally jumped infront of [Name], invading their aura. The kid leaned back a little to prevent having to look at his face this close.
