Chapter 2

Amelia "Mia" Rae Stark.

That was her name.

She sighed from the front seat as her mom drove the car to Avengers Tower. Her new home.

"What's on your mind, love?"

"Just nervous. I haven't seen dad since I was 5 in person." Mia admits to her mother.

"He's changed honey, he's married now."

Mia nods. "He didn't invite me to his wedding."

"He's been busy since Iron Man." Harmony defends.

"And he didn't come to my graduation." Mia said sadly.

Harmony places a hand on Mia's arm. "Talk to him sweetie. You'll be living there for a bit. Take the chance you have."

Mia nods and says nothing else, as she goes back to staring out the window and watching the scenes go past.

~ AVENGERS TOWER ~

Harmony pulled up to the building and saw Tony Stark waiting outside.

He walked up and opened Mia's door.

She stepped out and pulled her black bag over her shoulder as she looked around.

"Amelia." Tony said as he pulled his daughter in for a hug and kissed her forehead.

"Hi dad."

"Mia. Call me at least twice a week honey. I love you." Harmony said through the open car door.

Mia nods as Tony pulls her suit case out the trunk of her mothers car.

"I will. Bye mom. Love you." Mia said sadly as she closed the door and watched her mother drive off.

Tony threw his arm over her shoulder. "I don't want you walking in this city and ESU is about 20 minutes from the tower, so I went ahead a got you a car."

Mia looked at him with wide eyes. "You didn't have to."

"I wanted to Amelia." Tony said.

"Thank you. I go by Mia now though." She said as she looked down.

Tony chuckled as he lead Mia into the tower.

"Your mother said your dream car is a black Camaro so that's what I got you."

Mia looked at him again with wide eyes. "Thank you. But you didn't have to."

"I wanted to. Only the best for my daughter." Tony said as they entered the elevator.

"Common room please FRIDAY." Tony announced.

"Yes sir Mr. Stark." Came his reply from the AI.

At the sound of the AI, Mia jumped and looked around which caused Tony to chuckle again.

"That's FRIDAY. The AI that controls the tower. If you ever need anything, just ask FRIDAY." Tony explains.

Mia nods with a smile, but doesn't say anything.

When the elevator comes to a stop, the duo exit and enter the common room, with the entire Avengers team sitting in there.

Mia's eyes widen as she sees the entire team, not expecting to met them so soon.

"Amelia!" Came an excited voice.

Mia has turned just in time to catch a hug from the very excited Pepper.

"Hi Pepper." Mia says.

"Oh! I haven't seen you in forever!" Pepper said as she pulls back.

"Yeah. It's been a while. I go by Mia now." She said.

"You are so beautiful! Look at you! All grown up!" Pepper says as she pulls Mia in for another hug.

Mia was wearing black skinny jeans, with a black Gucci belt, and black 3 inch heel boots, with a long length violet purple ruffle tank top and her long silver chain Star of David necklace.

"I really meant to redo your room before you came, but I don't know what your into now, so I figured we could do it this week before your classes start. Bucky and Steve said they'd help move all the furniture." Pepper said as she pointed.

Mia looked at the boys and gave them a small smile and wave.

Of course, she knew who Captain America and the Winter Solider were.

"Amelia. Here's the keys to the car. Also I went ahead and got you a new iPhone to replace your old one and here's one of my cards. In case you need anything." Tony said as he handed her everything.

"Thank you. You didn't have to." Mia says.

"Non sense. Of course he did. I'm Natasha by the way. Call me Nat." A beautiful red head woman said as she held her hand out.

Mia shook it. "Amelia Stark. But I prefer Mia."

"Beautiful name, for a beautiful girl. I'm Clint."

She shook the mans hand. "I'm still Mia."

"So what are you studying?" Clint asks.

"Health and Sciences. I wanna be a doctor. A surgeon more specifically." Mia says.

"Beauty and brains. Guess you have the whole package then. I'm Steve."

Mia smiles. "I know who Captain America is."

Steve gives her a charming smile. "Good to know. This is Bucky."

The long haired man just gives one nod towards her in acknowledgment.

She smiles. "Still Mia."

"So a surgeon. What brought that on?" Tony asks.

"I've always wanted to be a doctor." Mia said.

"I don't remember you ever mentioning that. But it's been a while since we've seen you." Pepper admits.

"Yeah, I was valedictorian." Mia said quietly.

"Wow! That's cool!" Natasha said.

"I didn't know that." Tony said.

"You'd know if you Came." Mia smiled.

"You didn't invite me." Tony smiled back.

Mia's smiles dropped at that. "Yes I did."

And then Tony's smile drops. "No you didn't. I would've been there, had I known."

"I know for a fact I invited you because everyone was asking if Mr. Stark would be there and if we needed extra security." Mia explained.

"Amelia. I swear I didn't get an invitation. You must be mistaken." Tony defends.

"Tony. Yes she did." Pepper admits.

Tony whipped his head around to stare at his wife. "What?"

"Yeah. She invited you. You just had so much going on with the avengers and Iron Man." Pepper explains.

"So you just didn't tell me?" Tony asked as he started to get angry.

"It's not a big deal dad."

"Yeah it is Amelia!" Tony explodes.

"Why don't you make it up to me and come to my college graduation?"

Tony looked at his daughter and smiled. "Always were the sweetest."

Mia smiled.
