Mine <Bucky Barnes X OC>

Chapter 3

Bucky was sitting at the kitchen bar, watching over Amelia, who was asleep on the couch. That's how Steve found him.

"What are you doing?" Steve asks with a laugh.

Bucky shrugs. "I couldn't sleep last night, I came out here and she was asleep on the couch. Figured it'd be better to just keep an eye on her, just in case."

Steve nods and sits next to Bucky, watching over Mia.

And that's how the Black Widow found them.

She raises a brow, but before she could ask Pepper was in the room, shaking Mia awake.

"What are you doing out here?" Pepper asks.

Mia smiles and shrugs. "Pink makes me nauseous."

Pepper shakes her head with a laugh. "Well we can get to work on your room today."

One by one the Avengers poured in and it was painstakingly obvious that Mia had slept on the couch.

Tony shakes his head as he looks down. "I'm sorry Amelia."

She smiles. "It's really fine dad."

"What's for breakfast?" Clint asks with a smile.

Mia shakes her head with a smile, and decides to use the opportunity to go shower and get ready for her day.

Mia opted to go grab her own groceries, so after she put on her outfit of the day, she grabbed her keys and walked out.

~ 3 HOURS LATER ~

After a long grocery trip at Trader Joe's, Mia pulled back into her parking spot at the tower.

Clint was luckily walking out of the tower just as Mia popped her trunk.

"Hey. Grocery shopping?" He asks with a smile.

She smiled back. "Yeah. I hate to ask but, do you mind?"

"Not at all." Clint said as he walked over and grabbed most of the grocery bags.

In the end, Mia was only carrying two bags as they walked into the tower.

"Hey.. what's all this?" Tony asks.

Mia set her bags down and started to filter through them, and place the items in their respected places. "I went grocery shopping."

Tony nods. "Yeah, I can see that. Why though? We had more than enough, and you didn't have to get your own food and even then, you got a lot for yourself."

Mia laughed. "There's nothing here I could eat."

That caught the attention of everyone.

"What?" Tony questions.

Mia smiles and nods as she drinks from her water bottle. "I'm vegan."

Tony nods, but says nothing and looks even more confused.

"It means she doesn't eat any animal products man." Clint explained.

"Oh." Tony raises a brow.

"So no eggs, cheese, etc." Mia smiles as she puts more groceries away.

"And she only drinks purified water. Healthy girl you got there Tony." Clint smiled.

"Healthy, smart and beautiful." Pepper smiles as she wraps Mia in a side hug, while pressing a kiss to her forehead.

"Ahh shucks. Your embarrassing me." Mia laughed.

"I can have the chef prepare food for you that you can eat Amelia." Tony offered.

Mia smiles. "Dad, seriously it's fine. I used your card to buy all of this anyways."

Tony nods. "As you should."

Mia smiles. "I don't want to get used to this, as soon as a dorm opens, I'll be moving in."

Natasha tilts her head. "Why? Why don't you just stay?"

"I don't wanna intrude."

"Amelia, your already here. You could stay." Tony offered.

Mia sighs. "I'd honestly prefer living on campus. I'm not really comfortable around you dad, and like there's literal superhero's here."

Steve smiles. "Maybe give it a chance Mia. We may be superhero's but we're regular people to."

Mia bites her lip, which catches Bucky's attention as he sucks in a breath, causing Steve to turn his head to look at Bucky in confusion.

"We'll see. It's hard to say where I'll be on the dorm list, and how long it'll take for one to open." Mia explains.

Pepper nods. "Amelia, your always welcome here love."

"Thank you." Mia smiles as she starts to cut up a banana and blueberries.

"What are you making?" Steve asks as he steps forward, leaving Bucky behind.

"Banana and Blueberry Oatmeal. Would you like to try some when it's done?" Mia asks.

Steve nods. "The vegan lifestyle is very healthy."

Mia smiles back and nods.

"So what got you into vegan, Amelia?" Tony asks as he takes a seat.

"Uh. It's stupid." Mia shakes her head.

"Nothings stupid Amelia." Pepper smiles and takes a seat next to Tony.

"Uh, a guy I liked in like 8th grade told me I was fat. I researched and exercised, and the lifestyle just kinda stuck." Mia said.

"I get this sudden urge to track this guy down and beat the life out of him." Tony said as he looked up at the ceiling.

Mia smiles and laughs. "It was stupid, but I learned a lifestyle that I really enjoy. Despite how, I'm glad my life selves into it."

"Are you Jewish?" Bucky asks from his spot, away from the group.

Everyone looks at him in surprise.

"Uh, Yeah. My moms husband John, he's Jewish. So mom and I started practicing with him when she got married." Mia explains.

Bucky nods and says nothing else.

Steve smiles at Mia. "War buddies."

Mia smiles. "I know who Captain America and the Winter Solider are."

"You do?" Steve asks.

Mia smiles. "You guys are in our history books. Your in our studies for history with world war 2. I'm sorry what happened to you Mr. Barnes. It was cruel."

Bucky looks at Mia with wide eyes. "It's Bucky. Just Bucky."

Mia smiles and nods. "Okay Bucky. This is done, so who wants some?"

And just like that all the Avengers decided to try the Vegan lifestyle every now and again with Mia.
