Chapter 5

The Avengers were on a mission.

They were set to come back any day, but Mia had the tower to herself.

It had been 2 weeks since she started college and Mia joined a program through the college called Mentor/Mentee program.

And since the avengers were gone, Mia was able to hang out with her Mentee at the tower without interruptions with her tutoring.

But that all came to an end today.

"Who's this?" Tony asks as the avengers pile into the common room.

"Oh this is Peter. He's my Mentee." Mia explains.

Tony laughs. "I think he's more my Mentee Amelia. Peter Parker here, is actually my assistant."

"Oh I didn't know that. But he is my Mentee. Remember I joined the mentor/Mentee program at college? The college students teach high school students to help them prepare for college." Mia explains.

"So your gonna be a surgeon to?" Tony asks Peter.

"No. I'm just interested in the health and science program." Peter explains.

Tony nods. "That's nice."

Mia got the suspicion that there was something she didn't know, but she didn't say anything.

And Peter could tell, from Mia looking between him and Tony and it made him uncomfortable.

"Well uh, I'm gonna go. Mia, text me and we can find a location for the next met place." Peter said.

Mia nods and follows Peter to the elevator. "We can still met here. But if that makes you uncomfortable, I totally understand. I wish I knew why you didn't tell me though."

"I didn't know you were Tony's daughter." Peter said.

Mia smiled. "What was the dead give away? Mia Rae Stark?"

Peter laughed. "They didn't say last names. Just that I was to look for Amelia."

They laughed.

"Bye Peter."

"Bye Mia. I'll see you next week." Peter smiles.

The elevator dings, and Peter is able to leave.

Mia lets out a breath and walks back to the common room.

"So Parker?" Tony asks with a smile.

"How exactly do you know him?" Mia asks as she folds her arms.

Tony lets out a breath and looks around as he thinks for a moment.

Then finally he speaks. "He's Spider-Man."

The look of shock on Mia's face was obvious as she stutters and her eyes are wide.

"Cat got your tongue?" Steve teases.

"I just didn't expect Peter to be a superhero. Let alone Spider-Man! I mean he's..." Mia trailed off.

Tony raises a brow. "Got a crush on Spider-Man Amelia?"

Mia chuckled. "Not even. He had his face covered. But the mystery was what got all the girls at my school interested in him. I can't believe he can balance school and being a superhero."

"It's hard. He struggles." Tony admits.

"So what'd the girls at your school think of about The Falcon?" Dam asks as he wiggles his brows.

Mia laughed. "Captain America was the thing."

"Thanks Mia." Steve smiles.

"And Thor. Mostly Thor."

"Course. He's a god. Can't compete." Sam said.

Morgan enters the room, instantly spots Mia and runs up to her as she wraps her in a hug.

Mia smiles and laughs. "Hi Love Bug."

Morgan looks up at Mia and gives her the biggest smile at the nickname her big sister had given her. "Hi. Will you play with me?"

Mia's eyes widen. "Of course."

Morgan giggles at Mia's excitement, even though she didn't know that Mia was being more exaggerated for her purpose.

Morgan grabbed Mia's hand and dragged her into her room.

Tony laughs and shakes his head.

"I'm gonna ask Amelia to pick Morgan up from school tomorrow. I've got meetings all day and you have to work on your suits." Pepper said.

Tony nods. "Okay. I'm sure Amelia won't mind picking her up."

"I was thinking, we could have Amelia babysit Morgan! Like we could take date nights! It'd be more like a normal family instead of all the Avenger stuff." Pepper said excitedly.

Tony sighs. "Pepper we've discussed this. Amelia and Morgan aren't normal."

"But we could give them that little slice of normality." Pepper suggests.

Tony nods. "We can discuss this at a later time, privately."

Pepper nods, even though the avengers were all there, they didn't actively listen to Tony and Pepper's conversation.
