Subject: Christmas crack is not my only addiction this year
Cass,
I have made plans for Christmas Eve and Christmas evening.
They both include The Grinch, so I'm hoping his heart has grown two sizes by then.
I know mine has. Seriously, I am irrationally excited about it. Mostly I'm just excited to watch the best Christmas movies with him. What can possibly go wrong with movie watching?
And then on Christmas day, I'm going to volunteer at the dinner he's hosting at the pub. It will definitely go better than my experience at Thanksgiving did (as if it could possibly get worse). We're friends now!
I just need my heart to remember we're just friends. I want more. But I'm spending too much time with him to get over it now.
This was a bad idea from the start. You would have stopped this madness.
