Cass, my car broke down and it sucked.
I went shopping because I figure if I'm going to lose this bet, I'm going to enjoy making Rowan suffer my Christmas spirit. But also, I wanted to buy him something to thank him for doing all of this with me. It was really fun and totally made this year better than expected.
I basically expected this year to be the worst Christmas ever. Far from home, no friends or family, single. Maybe I should have got myself a puppy! Mrs Rawson might hate me if I did that though. But Geoffrey could have a puppy pal and I could go viral with videos of them together!
Anyways, Rowan has basically saved my Christmas, so even if I end up in the lake on New Year's Day, it's all been worth it. Never thought I would say something like that, but it's true. It would all be worth it. I'm not sure what will happen with us after the Christmas dates end, but hopefully he will still be willing to hang out with me.
But back to my original thought. My car broke down coming back from my shopping trip. I called CAA and waited for hours for the tow truck to come get me. He finally showed up and riding in the cab of his truck was disgusting. It smelled like smoke and old fast food.
Are all trucks gross? Rowan's truck is the only one I've ever been in that wasn't at least a bit gross. Which almost doesn't make sense because Rowan's truck is old. Shouldn't it have the most stinks in it?
Oh well. I have no car for the next few days, so I'm basically just hunkering down at home. I'll walk to and from work, I've got enough cookies to feed an army, and a long list of Christmas movies to watch, so I am totally set.
Living my best hermit life waiting for Santa!
What I would give to recreate our "survive the snow storm night of 2012". I almost wish the world had ended that year. Could have avoided a lot of shit in my life if it had.
Ash
