Chapter 7: 'Where are your Avengers now?'

Unknown P.O.V

"Who's Coral Heart?" I questioned, flicking through the file that had been placed on the desk. The person who had put it there shook slightly in fear and stuttered over his words. He was a tall male with honey blonde hair and forest green eyes, he was very shy and feared quiet a few things.

"She's used to work for S.H.E.I.L.D" He replied, not looking up at me. "She was killed on a mission years ago, at the time she was in a relationship with Agent Barton."

"So this was before Agent Romanoff?" My eyebrow raised.

"Yes, a few years before Agent Romanoff was recruited." The blonde nodded quickly.

"Agent Howard?" He looked up at me. "Do you have the other file I requested?"

"Yes, Agent Margaret 'Peggy' Carter." He handed the file over to him with trembling hands. To scare him more I snatched the file and began reading over it without paying him any more attention while he continued. "Don't you think this is a bit risky?" I stopped reading.

"Risky? What about this is risky?" The file slammed down on my desk as I turned to face Agent Howard. "We already have the prodigies and our tracks covered. Nothing about this is risky."

"We are essentially brining two Agents back to life."

"No Agent Howard we are using their names that is it. This way we can throw S.H.E.I.L.D off guard. This process has been done before and now with my additional input nothing with be able to pull the once named Angel and Mockingbird from the mind control."

"There will always be a way to break it."

"Getting confident now are we?" I asked, rising to my feet. Instantly the Agent shrunk back and began to shake his head, muttering his sorries under his breath. "Get out of my sight before I change m mind in letting you go." Instantly the blonde scrambled to his feet and ran out of the room.

"Getting irritated are we?" A smooth voice asked, as his footstep bounced off the polished wooden flooring.

"You just can't get the staff nowadays." I huffed, slumping back down into my chair.

"Well my dear you'll be pleased to know that our prisoners are ready." He informed me, gently massaging my shoulder to release some of the tenseness.

"Okay then, let's go." Jumping to my feet I hurried out of the office I had claimed as my own and down several corridors. Agents passed me with a respectful nod before going back to their business. Scientists rushed passed me as they prepared for the up coming procedure.

Once at the correct interrogation room I pushed open the door and smirked. Angel and Mockingbird were tied to two chairs, their heads down and hair hanging over their faces. Their breathing was heavy and their eyes concentrating on the floor. Neither of them looked up as the door slammed behind me.

"It's such a shame that it had to be this way." I sighed as I began to circle the two chairs. Angels head snapped up at my voice and she scowled deeply.

"Dark Moon," She greeted bitterly. Her hands balling into fists in her restraints.

"Angel." I greeted back "Mockingbird." The blonde growled slightly under her breath, almost like a wild animal. "Now we are going to have to sort that attitude out aren't we?" I asked sarcastically.

"This is pointless, you know you can't win Adreinne!" Bethany yelled at me, tugging at her restraints.

"Oh but I already have." I chuckled darkly. "Where are your Avengers now?"

"Coming for us." Deanna hissed, finally looking up at me. Her eyes were basically black with anger but that didn't faze me, they were both still as fragile as they were two years ago.

"But how will they find you when your tracks have been covered?" I asked with a coo. "But don't worry, we'll send them a clue. How about a video? One with the two of you begging me for mercy?"

"We'll never beg to you for anything!" Bethany yelled, pulling harder on her restraints.

"Oh but you will." Was my reply as I walked out. "Agent Hughes! You're up!"

"Yes Ma'am!" His voice replied before the interrogation room door slammed shut again. Waiting for a moment I didn't move until a scream echoed down the halls and the chuckles of Loki followed as he stood next to me.

"How long before they start looking?" He asked as he wrapped his arms around my waist from behind.

"Thirty minutes at most, we do need to finish up and then send the video to them." I replied. "But for now I'm going to spend some time with our son before the procedure begins."
