Chapter 28: Remember? Nope.

Deanna's P.O.V

"I want to know who runs HYDRAs base." Fury demanded, his hands resting on the table.

"How should we know?" Beth asked, folding her arms. "We don't remember anything."

"Oh I'm sure you do." Fury replied, his one eye narrowing dangerously at my brunette friend.

"HYDRA makes sure you can't remember, that's the idea of their brainwashing." Steve seethed. "You should know that!"

"No he shouldn't." Beth piped in. "Everything he has on HYDRA is a lie!"

"For your information Agent Lloyd we had no choice to delete everything we had on HYDRA after Rodgers and Romanoff-"

"Hey don't blame it on us! If you hadn't faked your death none of this would have been a problem!" Natasha yelled.

"What's all the shouting about?" A blonde asked, walking into the room. Jumping off Clint's lap I squealed at the sudden new voice and interruption. "Whoa okay!" The blonde held her hands up and backed away slightly.

"Oh right. Beth, Deanna, this is Sofia Donald. She's our new scientist." Bruce introduced. "Sofia this is Bethany and Deanna."

"Pleasure to meet you Miss Donald." Beth stood and held her hand out.

"Please call me Sofia Angel." Sofia relied, shaking my brunette friends hand.

"Only if you call me Bethnay." She chuckled.

"Sorry about that." I giggled, walking over and holding out my own hand. "I'm still trying to understand what happened, making me a bit skittish."

"You were skittish anyway." Tony murmured from behind me.

"I heard that Mr Stark."

"Sorry Miss Chalmers." We all chuckled, it felt nice to laugh considering everything going on. However, the laughter was cut short by a not mused Director.

"Agent Lloyd! Agent Chalmers!" He snapped, causing us both along with Sofia to jump. "I need you to understand something. Without your contribution we cannot track and take out HYDRA."

"And we need you to understand something." I growled, taking a step towards the Director. "We don't remember, it's HYDRA that took us. If we remembered don't you think we would have told you?"

"Deanna" Beth called, taking my arm and trying to pull me away. However, I just shrugged her off and kept ranting

"We want to take down HYDRA just as much as you do, not to mention we still have Adrienne and Loki to deal with!" I exclaimed, still advancing towards the dark skinned male who was backing slowly away from me. "We are just as confused, in fact no! Even more confused than you.

"If I knew who did this to us both I wouldn't hesitate to track them down and kill them myself. But news flash Fury nine of us know!" My eyes narrowed.

"Deanna!" Someone screamed as they grabbed my shoulders and pulled me backwards. Stumbling my feet went from under me due to my blind rage and I collapsed onto the floor.

"It seems that HYDRA have gotten to your head Mockingbird."

"Nick that's enough!" Steve yelled as Bruce helped me to my feet. Sofia and Beth were standing by the door, where Bruce placed me too. The two girls gently held my arms to stop me charging back at Fury.

"You aren't in charge here Captain." Fury spat back.

"No I'm not." Steve agreed. "But we are in charge of the girls safety."

"He's right Fury." Tony spoke as everyone else came to stand in front of us. "And this isn't fair in them."

"The young maidens have done nothing wrong." Thor also added his voice.

"They've kill Agents!" Fury exclaimed. "They worked with the Winter Soldier."

"What?" Me and Beth yelled.

"Through no fault of their own." Natasha snapped. With that Sofia pulled both me and Beth from the room, quickly followed by the rest of the team.

"Now!" Clint clapped his hands. "Who's for a movie marathon?"

"Me!" Everyone yelled.
