I shut the door behind Madi after she left. i head back into the living room and slumped down on the couch. Did I really just ask the girl I have been in love with for three years to the Christmas party tommrow?! I know it was not a date but wow... and she said yes. I smiled to myself. Thankfully Cole was still listening to music in his room and everyone was still out getting dinner and finishing the decorating.
I could feel the boner in my pants bulging. I look down hoping it was not noticeable. Before I knew it the front door was opening and I could hear everyone scrambling in to get out of the snow. I got up and helped Nathan carry in the pizza boxes. I sat my boxes on the kitchen counter. Grabbing the glasses out of the cabinet I placed them on then counter.
" thanks for the help " dad says placing his bags of sodas next to the pizza
" how was the visit with Madi? Nathan asks
" it was really great " I admit trying to not blush.
" Madi?" Jackie asks
" yea she's the one who went to New York for school. I thought you sorta met her over FaceTime that one time. " Nathan says
" dark hair?" Jackie ask
" yep. She got bangs if I remember right. She is a little shorter than me.Super sweet. " Nathan says
" Madi and Alex have liked each other on and off for years. He will always have a soft spot for her. " Nathan whispers
" oh " Jackie says shyly.
Jackie leaves the kitchen and heads to her room. I shot Nathan a look.
" fuck! Sorry. " Nathan says
" she didn't know that last part. " I said
" I'm so sorry. But you and Jackie are not together anymore soo I don't see why she's upset. I mean you should be upset not her. She was the one who did not say anything when you told her you love her " Nathan says

" fuck man I'm sorry. Wait.. you don't have any feelings towards Jackie anymore?" Nathan asks
" nope. We can talk about this later. Let's have dinner" I said
Mom comes into the kitchen and hands me a plate before handing Nathan plate. Everyone grabs their slice of pizza and a drink before heading into the dining room.Sitting down at the table I noticed that Cole was staring at me. I wonder if he overheard what I told Nathan. Regardless it won't matter now since I'm not with Jackie.
