The next morning I woke up before Alex. I reached over to my nightstand and picked up my phone. Noticing my mom texted me I read her message.She was going to be out today and would be back tonight. I put my phone back on the nightstand.
" Morning" I hear Alex say
" Morning babe" I said as I slide back down under the covers. Pulling the blanket over my shoulder. I could feel Alex's hand wrap around he as he pulls me close. I smile.
What felt like thirty minutes later but it was really ten. Alex and I walked out of my room and headed into the kitchen. I reached for two cusps I poured some coffee into both of them. Heading to the fridge I grabbed the milk as Alex put some sweetener into the cups. After the milk I put the milk carton back in the fridge.
Alex and I sat down on the couch and listened to some music as we drank some coffee. I turned on the tv as we streamed TikTok and scrolled through some funny videos.
" That cat one was adorable" Alex said
I smile as we watch the same cat video twice.
" What do you wanna do today?" Alex asks
" Wanna just relax here. You did just get out of the hospital" I said looking over at him
" Sure. I would love that " Alex tells me
I smile as I look over out the window. The sun was shining as the snow started to melt a little bit. Sadly we didn't have enough snow on the hill to practice snowboarding. I reach over and take his hand. Alex's hand was warm from holding the coffee mug. I smile as we continue to scroll through the videos.
" What are we gonna do about Kiyle" I say after another funny cat video
" I'm not sure. I overheard Jackie talking to Cole yesterday about her going to talk to Kiyle when they hang out today. Im not sure what time they are seeing each other but hopefully we will get answers. this afternoon" Alex said
" Did you know she was going to do that?" I ask
" No. " Alex said
I smile as I give his hand a little squeeze. Alex looks at me and I start to blush even more.
" Im gonna text Jackie and see if she'll call us when she is done hanging out with Kiyle to give us the run down" I said
I grabbed my phone and went to Jackie's messages.

I went back on TikTok and we finished watching some videos before I got up and reached out my hand and grabbed Alex's hand. I dragged him into the kitchen. I watch Alex smile as I headed to the fridge. opening the door I took out the bread, eggs and butter.
" Hmm Avocado toast and eggs?" Alex asks
" you know me so well" I said
" Can I make the eggs?" Alex asks
" Haha sure. " I sad
Alex walks over to me and give me a hug. I kiss his neck before finishing the avocado before popping the bread into the toster.
—- After breakfast we sat back down on the couch. I teach over and take his left hand. Smiling I move his hand on my lap as I do that thumb rubbing thing. I glance down and saw the lines on his arm. Looking up I met his eyes.
" dose it hurt when you touch it?" I ask
" not anymore " Alex replies
I softly smile. Leaning over I kiss his arm. Looking up I see Alex smiling at me.
" you drew scares around my scares but now im-" Taylor swift sings over the tiktok we were watching.
Distracting us I look over at the tv when I realize we were still watching funny videos. But this one was a sweet one. I paused the video and I connected my phone from the tv.
" I love you" I said
" I love you too" I said
I lean over and kiss him.
I felt my phone buzz beside me on the couch. I glance at it and saw Jackie texted.
" it's Jackie" I said
" what did she say?" Alex asks
I pick up my phone and look at the message. Showing Alex the screen.
Jackie Call me when you get the change. I'm back from hanging out with Kiyle
" Call her" Alex said
I head to her contact and hit phone. I put the phone on speaker as we wait for Jackie to pick up.
" good morning lovebirds" Jackie said
" Morning" Alex and I said together
" hope I didn't wake you" Jackie said
" no you are all good. What did you hear from Kiyle" I said
" Long story short because you know her she adds little stories into her one big one. She didn't know you and Alex were together. " Jackie said
" Umm" Alex said
" After I told her that you guys officially started dating she felt bad for kissing you. " Jackie said
"Thanks for letting us know" I said
" Of corse! Are you guys still gonna come to her party tonight? It's her pre new years party since you know she will be with her family out of town on new years eve" Jackie said
" She wants to know if you both are still coming. Kiyle said she tried texting Alex loads of times but never replied" Jackie adds
" She never... wait let me check" Alex said
Alex leans forwards and gets his phone off the coffee table. I watch his unlock his phone and look at the messages.
" oops" Alex said
" Yea We will be at the party" I said
" See you tonight' Jackie said
I hang up the phone and look Alex.
" You know we dont gotta go. Whatever you wanna do is fine with me" I said
' it seems fun" Alex tells me giving my hand a squeeze.
I smile again. I get up and head to the window. looking out the sun as already melting the snow. I turn back around to see Alex snapping a photo. I smile big as I head back to the couch and sit on his lap. I can feel him wrap his arms around me. I kiss his forehead.
