I sat on my bed as Madi was in Jackie's room getting ready for Kiyle's party tonight. I look down at my arm as I run my hand over the scars. One more time you can do it . My mind tells me. I take a few deep breaths. I hear the bedroom door open I look up and see Cole. I nod for him to come inside. Cole shuts the door behind him.
" You doing okay?" Cole asks sitting on the edge of Nathan's bed
" Yea. I'm good. " I said
I start to fiddle with my sleeves where my scares are.
" You sure?" Cole asks as he looks down at my arm.
" Positive. The meds are helping" I reassured him
" Sooo you and Madeline gonna be fine seeing Kiyle tonight? That is what I really wanna talk to you about. " Cole said
" I head what she told Jackie" Cole adds
" Yes. It should be fine. " I said smiling
" If you or Madi need me or Jackie we will be close. Promise " Cole said
" Thanks Cole' I said
Cole gets up and gets leaves the room. Shutting the door behind him. I pick up my phone and place it in my pocket with my wallet. I leave the room and head down the stars and as I see Jackie and Madi already downstairs getting their coats on.
" Wow. You both look incredible" I said
" Thank Alex" Jackie said before heading outside to the car.
" Thanks babe" Madi tells me.
I walk over to Madi and gave gave her a kiss pulling her in close. I could feel her hand on my back. I smile as I could smell her perfume. It was the vanilla perfume from bath and body. I kiss her forehead before grabbing the door as we head outside.

Cole parks the car outside Kiyles car. I get out and walk over and open the door for Madi. She takes my hand as she gets out of the car. Shutting the door behind her. We walk up to Kiyles car. We could hear the music blasting inside. I look around as I noticed the living room window was open. I knew Kiyle wouldn't blast music that loud.
" Ready?" Jackie asks
" Indeed" I said
" Yes" Madi says
I squeeze Maid's hand. I look at her as she smiles at me again. Cole rings the doorbell as we wait. Not a minute later the door opens and we see Kiyles smiling face.
" Come in! You must be freezing" Kiyle said
" Thank you for having us" I said
" Of course! You know I love you all" Kiyle said
I start to pull a little on my sleeve. Not that I'm worried it'll stick to my arm. I guess it's a habit I picked up. I felt a hand slide into mine. Looking up Madi was looking at me and mouths I love you. I pull my hand up and kiss the back of hers. ___
two hours later
Madi and I saw Jackie and Cole sitting over at the couch. We walk over and sit next to them.
" How are you liking the party?" Madi asks Jackie
" I like it. I just drank a little much" Jackie admtis
" Me too " I said
" Are you drunk?" Cole asks
" Yes " I said looking at him
" You cant drink while taking antidepressants " Jackie said
" I know. It's a one time thing. Im not that drunk. Just a little tipsy " I said
" Good. You are cut off" Madi tells me.
" Fine. I will stick with water" I said
" You guys want a drink?" I ask getting up
" Yes please" Madi and Jackie said
" How about you Cole?" I ask
" No thanks man. im good" Cole said
I walked over to where the drinks were and ran into Erin who was talking with Lee. Erin stops talking when she sees me and gives me a big hug.
" oh Alex! I heard what happened. I'm so sorry. If you need anyone to talk to I'm a text or phone call away " Erin said in her bubbly voice that I love so much.
" thanks Erin" I said
" have fun at the party" Lee said before him and Erin went back to join Nathan, Dylan and Danny.
I looked at the drinks before getting cups for Madi and Jackie. Kiyle comes up to the other side of the table.
" hey Alex. " Kiyle said
" hey " I said
" I um have an early new years present for you. I already gave Madi , Jackie and Cole theirs. They told me I could find you over here " Kiyle said
" that's sweet of you " I said
" follow me " Kiyle said as she reaches for my hand.
I take her hand as she leads me away from the table and into the other room where presents were sitting on the floor all wrapped super nicely. We head to the presents and Kiyle stumbles over a cup on the ground. I reach out my other hand as I catch her.
" you oaky?" I asked
" yeahhh" Kiyle said
" are you drunk?" I asked
" a little " Kiyle replies.
I make sure Kiyle is okay before letting go. But she doesn't let go of my hand. We walk over next to the presents and I make Kiyle sit down. Ii sit down nest to her like we used to do in school when we would get bored and sit in the hallway.
" I love this song" Kiyle said out of the blue
I listened for a moment to the song. It was positions by Ariana grande.
" Haha I know you do. You play it constantly " I said teasing her.
She looks at me like she dose when she is about to do something. I smile as I try to figure out what is going to happen next. Next thing I know Kiyles tongue is down my throat. Her lips were soft like a fluffy pillow. I could smell the Ariana Grande perfume in her hair. I pull away after a moment. Kiyle looked at me and kissed me again. I pull back and got up.
" Im sorry I cant do this" I told her before walking away.
I walked back to Madi, Cole and Jackie as they now were sorta dancing.
" I will be outside" I said
I walked to the door and went outside. Shutting the door behind me I sat on the steps. I shut my eyes and just enjoyed the cold air for a moment. The snow stopped and it was a good cold winter evening. I hear the door open and I look behind me.Madi was shutting the door and she sits down beside me as she reaches for my hand. She slides her hand into mine. I smile as I look at her. I love looking into her beautiful brown eyes.
" you okay? " Madi asks me
" Kiyle kissed me again. She's drunk so it's a drunk kiss but a kiss nevertheless. I don't know how I can stay friends with her " I tell Madi
" we can leave if you want. We don't have to stay. Kiyle knows we were here " Madi tells me
" Cole has the keys " I reminded her
" Jackie isn't having a good time. I'm guessing they are gonna leave soon" Madi tells me
