I stood at the doorway with Alex after Cole walked Kiyle to her car in the snow and went to heat up their car. I turn to Alex and smile.
" thanks for coming tonight. " I said
" welcome " I said
" thanks for the best Christmas present. I can't wait to be with you snowboarding for a week. It's going to be.. amazing " I said
" I'm looking forward to it too. I can't wait. Have a great evening " Alex said
I watched Alex get to his car and get in before I shut the door. I smile and head into the kitchen to put the glasses into the dishwasher and clean up the cotton candy. Mom came home ten minutes later from her date. I was sitting in the dining room reading a book and listening to some music.
" how was your date?" I asked
" it went really well. I still really like him a lot " mom says
" how was dinner?" She asks
" fantastic. The pasta was a big hit and Alex gave me my Christmas present early. " I said
My mom's eyebrow raised. I roll my eyes as I shut my book and turn off my music.
" he got me and him week reservations at Breck after Christmas to go snowboarding" I said
" oh muffin. You are going to have a amazing time " mom says smiling
" thanks " I said blushing really hard
" so do you think he'll ask you out while you are at Breck?" Mom asks
" aha. Funny. I hope so. I really like him" I said
" you'll never know. " mom says
" When is your trip?" Mom asks
" We leave the 26th" I said smiling
" Im gonna go practice " I said
I gave my mom a hug before heading to my room to change into my snowboarding outfit for the day. Grabbing my helmet and goggles I went out to the back and got my board .I headed outside and started to practice. That is the thing I love about my house. The hill in the back in the winter. I take another photo before I started practicing. The sun was shining making everything so much better.
*** A hour later***
I hopped in the shower and put on my favorite candy cane body wash. It was a limited edition that only came around for Christmas. It smells so good. I finished washing my hair and got out of the shower. Wrapping the towel around me I headed to my room to change. I put on my fleece lined sweatpants, my soft Christmas shocks Alex gave me last year for Christmas and a sweatshirt.
