Back at home
I open the door to the house after Alex drops me off. I could smell something cooking in the kitchen. Placing my stuff down near the door I took my shoes off before heading into the kitchen to see mom making some fresh cookies. Mom loves to make cookies. She drops the fork she's using as a wisk as soon as she sees me. Runs up and gives me a hug.
" Oh muffin you're back! How was the trip? " Mom said
" It was great" I said
Walking to the fridge I opened the door to grab a diek coke out. I took a seat at the bar stool as mom went back to making her cookies. She looks at me with wide eyes as I knew exactly what she was thinking.
" It was.. magical. The best trip. We went to this little cafe and the girl who worked there had the best food and coffee suggestions. We went to Castles for dinner one evening. I was so shocked. I know that place is hard to get into. He umm he asked me to be his girlfriend. I said yes" I said
" Ahh" I am so happy for you both! I have always known you and Alex would make a great couple" mom said
" Thanks mom" I said blushing.
" Something weird did happen though. Kiyle showed up for a few days. Nathan called us the day before to let us know so we would not be shocked. He didn't know why Kiyle was going " I said
" That is weird. " Mom said
"It was. Nathan and Cole accidentally let it slip that we were at Breck but still even if they didn't tell her and she knew before they told.. it's weird. " I said
" Do you think she likes Alex?" Mom asks
" I think so" I said
" Alex and I are going to have a date night at his house sometime this week. Everyone will be out at Hayley thing on Friday. I dont know why Alex chose not to go. I think it's because we just got back from a trip and it's a hour drive to the event. " I said
" What event is Hayley having?" Mom asks
" No idea.But that gives Alex and I the evening to ourselves. " I said
" He said he's gonna cook something" I add
" That is going to be fun. I am so happy you both are together" Moms aid
" Thanks" I said
I got up and grabbed my luggage. Walking to my room I shut the door and started to unpack. Tossing almost all my clothes into the hamper. I put my makeup and snowboard stuff away. I grabbed my hamper right when my phone buzzed.
I grab my phone out of my pocket and looked at the message. Smiling as Alex's name appeared on the screen.
Alex Hey babe, you wanna watch the sunset tonight? I know a beautiful place. Xx
