A/N: no, it's not inspired by the song, i just wanted a Christmas-y title :,)

The next day, you head out to Law's house early, ready to put your creativity to work on decoration for the party. You get there quickly and let yourself in since he gave you a key. Law doesn't appear, which means he is not home or busy in his office. You go over to where he told you the decorations would be. There are boxes and boxes of them, all sorts of colors. You sigh. He must have gone all out to buy these. As you sit down to start sorting the decorations, you realize that Zoro should be here by now. That idiot, you think. He probably forgot. You decide to give him a little more time. But when 30 minutes pass by, and there's still no sign of Zoro, you pull out your phone and call him. He picks up on the second ring.

"Hello?"

"Zoro, what are you doing?"

"What do you mean, what am I doing? Is there something I'm supposed to be doing?"

"You're in charge of decorations! I'm only supposed to help you, but I've been here for almost an hour, and you're still not!"

"Oh. Right. Sorry, I forgot. "

Of course, he did, you think, irritated. "Just get here now."

"On my way, " he says, hanging up.

"Seriously, I don't know what Law and I were thinking when we decided to give this job to Zoro..." you mutter.

Later, you hear a knock on the door and open it to see Zoro. You step aside to let him enter, and he removes his coat.

"There are a lot of things to put up," you say. "So, we need to work fast and efficiently." Zoro nods, and the two of you go to the room that you've designated the Decor Hub. You hold up a banner. "I'll work on hanging this up. You can..." you survey the pile. "Spread these on the chairs." He takes the decorations you're pointing at and gets to work. You look for a good place to hang the banner, immediately realizing your mistake. Zoro's taller than I am, and yet I volunteered to do the job of a tall person. You shoot him a furtive glance. But if I tell him to do this, he's bound to mess it up. You sigh, pulling a chair over to stand on. As you struggle with the right part of the banner to hang, you stumble on the chair, but before you even have the chance to panic, you feel strong arms wrapping around you. "Be careful," Zoro says. "Why didn't you ask me to help you?"

You scowl, blushing. "I didn't think you could do a good job."

Rather than being offended, he laughs. "Have a little faith in me." Zoro takes the banner from you and hooks it effortlessly, spreading it to the endpoint. "Find something on the ground to do," he says, smirking. "I've got this." You start to object but stop. He has a point. "Fine," you sigh.

The two of you work for hours, and your work is rewarded late in the afternoon, the entire house looking resplendent in the decorations. You and Zoro stand at the door, observing. "What do you think?" you ask him.

"It looks very... Christmas-y."

You laugh. "I guess so."

Zoro points at a few mistletoe spread around. "What're those?"

You grin mischievously. "They're mistletoe. Haven't you heard of them before?" Zoro shakes his head.

"Well, how it goes is if two people happen to be standing under one, then they have to kiss."

Zoro raises a brow. "That sounds like unpleasant, at the worst."

You shrug. "But at the best, they're a fun decoration."

You start walking around, doing one final survey of your work, and notice a minor flaw in one ribbon. It's just above your reach, but you try to grab at it anyway, not wanting to ask Zoro to do it. Despite not wanting help, you feel the weightlessness of being lifted moments later, and the ribbon is at face level. You turn to see Zoro, his hands tucked snugly under your arms. "I told you, you can always ask for help."

Your face flushes a bright red. "Put me down! I was fine on my own!"

He chuckles. "It didn't seem so. Just hurry up and fix it."

You quickly adjust the ribbon, and you're back on the ground. At the sight of your face, Zoro laughs again. "Why're you so embarrassed?"

You sigh, trying to compose yourself. "You wouldn't understand."

"I imagine I won't."

As you walk to the door, Zoro teasing you all the while, you breathe a sigh of relief. That went better than expected.
