To be honest, I think this is kind of stupid. I feel like a love-struck idiot sitting here penning this. But then again, that's what I am, right? At least with you.
I never believed in love. Never had time for it. I thought it was a hoax, nothing more than a social construct for the weak to use to cope. When I met you, I was struck suddenly with a single thought that simply said, Look at her. She's beautiful. And my immediate response was to brush that on and continue with my life, forgetting I had ever even believed such a thing. But you didn't let me do that. You stuck with me, and... here we are.
I'm keeping this short because it feels ridiculous spilling my heart onto a slip of paper. But I hope you appreciate it. Happy Valentine's Day.

When you walk into a room, it lights up, and I am overcome by your beauty, by your eyes like starlight and your smile brighter than the sun. Moments apart are almost unbearable, and I wish for nothing more than to hold you close for all of our lives.
