A/N: so here's something new lol. let me know if I should write some more Smoker!

You sprint across the tops of the buildings in the small town, leaping from roof to roof. You thought you'd been careful, but to your dismay, you'd spotted Navy ships earlier – and sure enough, the White Hunter himself is now in hot pursuit of you.

"That stupid Smoker," you mutter. "Why's he so insistent on catching me?"

One might think it unintelligent to try to outrun someone with a logia, but for the moment, you had shaken him, and you plan to keep it that way. You had already plotted for a fast escape off the island. The only thing left to do is to get there. But just then, your adversary appears in front of you. You skid to a stop, glaring as you puzzle through your options.

"There's nowhere to run," Smoker says, his voice low. "Give up peacefully."

"Absolutely not," you shout, rushing him as you draw your sword. But just as he's preparing to let your attack go through, you slide around him and leap into an alleyway, using the close building walls to slow your fall and eventually help yourself down. There's a crowd of people ahead, and you disappear into it. Wonder why there're so many people, anyway, you think idly as you do your best to be inconspicuous. You slip into a seemingly abandoned building and race up the stairs, peering out the window. Your eyes scan the ground below, and they find Smoker quickly, his tall stature giving him away immediately. He seems to be speaking with locals, his sidekick, Tashigi, not far off. You move out of sight of the window, again starting to plan the next move.

If I leave through this window, I'll be spotted instantly. If I go back down into the crowd, I'll surely be turned in by a local. If I go to the port from here... you grin. That should be safe. You plan to do just that when a thought comes over you. It's quite the opposite, really, of what you should be doing. Still, it's so amusing that you head to the roof, moving as silently as possible to where Smoker and his team are. You pick the lock to the rest of the building and creep down the stairs until you stand at the window just above ground level. Leaning out of the window, you give Smoker a light tap on the shoulder. He whips around, an irritated expression on his face, and you give him your most innocent smile as you say, "Tag. You're it."

His eyes widen as he, to your surprise, flushes. But you're quick on your feet, and before he can yank you onto ground level, you've already danced away from the window and ran out the back, taking the fastest route on the port. As it comes into view, your little boat does, too, and hopping in you make quick work of the tying you've done and set out to sea, rowing for dear life. You're already many meters away when Smoker arrives at the dock. He's scowling – you can barely make it out – and you wave as if you were saying goodbye to an old friend. "Good try! Next time, I'll chase you," you say with a sharp grin.

"There will be no next time!" you hear him shout. You snicker, turning around as the wind picks up, taking you away.

"We'll see about that."
