You walk towards the park, glancing around. It's evening, and the park is mostly empty, save for a few people. It's Valentine's Day, and because your partner – Law – doesn't enjoy the idea of the holiday, you have spent the day watching cheesy love stories. As for yourself, the idea of doing something special on the day seems nice, but you're more or less not too disappointed. But just when the plot of one movie was at an all-time low, lower than it had been before – if that's even possible – you had received quite the cryptic text from Law asking you to meet him by the park nearby. I wonder if this'll be some grand romantic gesture, you think, seeing him standing by a lamp pole. Your curiosity is piqued when you see his hands full. I don't think I'm far from the truth.
"Hey," you say. Law seems to sigh in relief at your presence. Without speaking, he hands you exactly three flowers - what appears to be a rose, a carnation, and a daisy - wrapped together in a lovely ribbon, and a box of chocolates. He pulls you in for a kiss, and before letting you go, he murmurs, "I asked the flower seller about the flowers. Don't kill me if they mean something negative." With a slight smile, he releases you and walks away.
You stand there stunned and unsure, thoughts racing through your mind. I thought he didn't like Valentine's Day? Why did we meet in a public location? That interaction was so brief. The flowers... how nice. Dumbfounded, you look down at the flowers you are now the proud owner of and turn around to head home. What a pleasant surprise.
