CHAPTER X

KELSEY

"Are you really sure that you're ready to face him again?" Tanong ulit ni Franzel habang nagmamaneho.

She's been like that simula nung umalis kami sa hospital. I already deal with Ridge and he agreed without hesitation. Since, yun naman talaga ang napag-usapan namin nung una. I'll become his patient but still I'll continue my modeling career.

I won't allow it to happen if I lost modeling just because of my fucking disease.

And here I am today. Doing my work again after how many days being distant to the people and the media.

I sighed.

I'm nervous. Really, am.

I don't know if I'm nervous because I'm excited to see him again or I'm nervous because I might throw myself again to him.

Damn it, Kelsey! You can't just run forever. You need to face him.

I sighed again.

I hope everything goes fine.

"I'm asking, Kelsey. You're spacing out again." Nakangusong sambit ni Franzel.

"Stop it. It's about work. I should be professional." I said plainly answering her question a while ago.

"I'm just worried about you. I won't force you naman kung di mo pa siya kayang makita."

"Can you just shut up? You're ruining my peace of mind. You keep on talking shits. It's not helping." I irritatedly replied showing my bitch side again.

I saw fear in his face before she shut her mouth and just fucos driving.

I looked into my hands for a moment, letting my frustration subside. But moments later, my phone rang and I answered it with a frustrated voice without seeing the caller.

"What is it! You're disturbing me in the middle of my trip!" Napamaang ako ng walang marinig na sagot. "Spill it faster! I'm in a hurry. Don't waste my fucking time with that silent shit of yours!"

"Hey... Relax." Napatigil ako ng marinig ang magaang tono ng boses ni Ridge sa kabilang linya. "What happened to you? You look fine leaving the hospital earlier." Dagdag nito ng hindi makatangap ng sagot sakin.

I sighed, letting out a bad air from my whole being. "Why are you calling me?" Balik kong tanong rito sa kalmadong boses.

"I just want to check you up. Kong nakarating ka na ba o ano ang ginagawa mo. I want an update exactly." He answered using his usual voice.

Tumaas ang kilay ko sa narinig. "And who are you to be given an update from me?"

He chuckled lightly before answering. "Relax, you did really misinterpreted it well." He stopped for a moment and return talking again. "Look, I'm your doctor. It's my responsibility to take care of you. Normal lang na manghingi ako ng update, Ely. Don't see things maliciously."

I tsked and rolled my eyes. "I'm still on the car. Franzel was driving for me. We're heading to Silvestre Wine Company." I said having no rite to complain anymore.

"Ow, I see. Huwag masyadong magpagod. It's bad for you." He replied using his soft voice.

"Oo na. Is there anything that you want to ask again?"

"Uhm, wala na. Baka kasi masabi mo pang masyado akong nag-aalala sayo eh di mo naman ako jowa."

I rolled my eyes before answering. "Whatever, Ridge."

"Oh my hardheaded patient, I can feel you rolling your eyes right now." Saad nito sa natatawang boses.

"Just shut up. I'll end this call if you won't shut up."
