CHAPTER XVI

KELSEY

"Hindi pala sasama sayo si Doc, Kels?" Franzel asked while looking at me in the mirror.

I just rolled my eyes at her before replying. "Paki ko naman sa kanya. Besides, I didn't invite him to be my date."

"He said kasi na sasama siya satin ngayon."

I just rolled my eyes again. "Umasa ka naman na sasama talaga yung crush mo? Tch!"

Nagkibit-balikat si Franzel. "Correction, crush mo."

"Ew that's gross." I replied. "I would never ever had a crush on him. He's so amoy disinfectant alcohol!"

Franzel just laugh at me. "Mahal ka naman HAHAHA!"

Binato ko siya ng tissue at nakailag naman siya. "It told you to stop." I said irritatedly.

She laughed hard before zipping her mouth.

Bwesit talaga ang doktor na yun! Ang lakas magsabi na nililigawan ako eh di naman makasipot as my date for tonight. Tch! Naiinis na talaga ako sa kanya. Huwag niya lang mapakita sakin yang panget na pagmumukha niya kundi babatuhin ko talaga siya ng sandals ko.

Sounds of clicking cameras greeted me when I entered. Mabuti at walang mga reporter na narito kundi pagpe-pyestahan talaga ako sa dami ba naman ng isyung kinakaharap ko.

Walang emosyon akong naglakad sa red carpet. Wala ako sa mood at mas lalong hindi ko bet ngumiti ngayon.

Nang matapos ang pagpi-picture ay agad akong umupo sa tabi ng nakasimangot.

"Good evening, Kelsey." Cane greeted me while sitting on the chair in front of me.

"What do you want?" I rudely asked not minding if I can hurt her ego or not.

Wala ako sa mood para makipagplastikan sa kanya ngayon kaya dapat umalis na siya kung ayaw niyang mabara.

She still gave me a small smile. "I'm glad you came. Actually, I'm looking forward on seeing you tonight." She said formally, no hint of plasticity.

"Pwede ba? Tigilan mo ako sa pa nice treatment mo. We're not friends." Deritsong sagot ko rito na dahilan ng pagkawala ng ngiti niya.

"But I just wanna apologize to you for what I did and I just wanna give this to you." She handed me a card.

"Are you numb or tanga ka lang? After what happened to us, you'll still give me an invitation to your wedding?" Naiinis kong sambit. "Well no thanks, I wouldn't be coming to that special day of yours." I added then put the invitation in the table.

Fuck it! Ang kapal ng mukha niya ha! O baka naghihiganti siya sa pagbigay ko rin sa kanya ng invitation noon sa wedding sana namin ni Yñigo.

"Look Kelsey, it's not what you think. I just wanna—"

I gestured my hand to stop her. "Shut up and just get lost." I rudely said before drinking the champagne.

She sighed before standing up. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." She said sincerely before walking away.

Napaiwas nalang ako ng tingin bago lagukin ang natitirang champagne sa wine glass.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are celebrating tonight for the success of the fashion show! And also, we would like to greet our president and her fiancee for their upcoming wedding. Congratulations in advance to the both of you. Cheers everyone!"

Everyone raised their glasses before drinking their own champagne except for me who just smiled bitterly. Wow naman. Narito ako oh. Shet naman.

Yñigo and Cane walk up to the stage and Cane greeted and thanked everyone. Yñigo also send his greetings too until...
