CHAPTER XXVIII

KELSEY

I slept soundly that day and smiled brightly when I woke up. I felt energized and light.

Napatingin ako sa phone ko nang tumunog iyon. It was a message from Ridge greeting me a good morning and reminded me to eat breakfast.

Damn, this man is so sweet. I'm afraid I might get diabetes.

Tatayo na sana ako para sa morning routine ko pero naalala kong unemployed na pala ako. I stayed at my bed and stared at the ceiling.

Come to think of it. I'm anxious right now because of what happened the other day. It triggered me so much to the point that I want to find ways to say yes to Ridge's courtship. I mean, I'm not anxious because Ridge might cheat but I'm more anxious about my own actions. Like, it made me realize why I keep Ridge waiting for me when I can just answer him right away and put a label on our relationship.

Right, I'll find ways on how to say yes to him. Hm, ano bang dapat kong gawin? Should I seek advice from my crew? Alright, I'll ask Franzel about it.

I dialed Franzel's number and she immediately picked it up. "Girl, what is it? I'm getting a proper sleep here because I'm currently unemployed."

"Franz, I'm going to say yes to Ridge's courtship but I don't know how. Can you lend me some advice?" Lakas loob kong tanong.

"What?! Hindi pa kayo?!" She asked sounding so shocked. "Teka nga! I saw you two kissing already. Gosh, Kels! Nanliligaw pa lang tapos nakahalik na?! My gosh ka! Na-e-stress ako sayo ha."

"So what? Isn't it the trend right now?" Tila inossnte kong sagot.

"Trend? Ewan ko sayo! You're still stressing me out even though I'm not working for you anymore."

"So, are you going to tulong me or not?" I asked because she's so loud. "And please stop blabbering around, Franzel. Para namang hindi ka hinalikan ng crush mo noong isang araw. As far as I remember you two don't have label at that time."

"Oh, shut it out, Kels." She said shyly then she sighed. "I'll go to your house right away. I'll just take a shower. Let's plan your cheesy surprise for your suitor. Oh, whatever it is."

"Great! Be quick!"

"Wow, inuutusan mo 'ko?"

"Yes!"

"Whatever!"

"See you, Franz! Have a safe drive." I lastly said before hanging up.

I showered and wore a simple designer dress. I applied the essentials  that the derma prescribed before going downstairs.

"Kelsey, come here. Let's eat, princess. Minsan ka lang umuwi rito kaya halika na." My dad said pulling a chair for me.

I immediately smiled before sitting. "Thank you, dad! Good morning to you both!"

"You seem energetic, Kelsey. We're happy to see you here today, sweetie. We both miss you." My mom replied smiling.

"You should visit here often." My dad said giving me the table napkin.

"I'll be staying here before I take the surgery and the proper treatment Dad." I replied looking to them.

"Really? But how about your career?" My mom asked happy but concerned also.

I smiled assuringly. "It's fine, Mom. I already resigned."

"You resigned? Is this for real, Kelsey?" Hindi makapaniwalang tanong ng papa ko habang nilalagyan ng pancake ang plato ko.

"But why? We thought you love modelling. May kinalaman ba si Jarren rito?" My mom asked again.

I shook my head. "No, it's my own decision. He doesn't know about this."
